@danhimself: very well I simply speak for the ideals of Drun-...an anonymous hero who spoke out against what he saw was wrong and was banned for it. He commented on the thread...he can't comment anymore.

I have no idea what went on with that...if he was banned then I really doubt that it was just for speaking out against something that to be honest he had no reason to speak out against...he had to have done something else other than that to get banned

@giantsfan576: Any wiki editor can add adult comic books to the wiki as long as it is not on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, editors add what they want and as long as they fall within the rules I see no problem with it, if you wanted to add an adult comic right now I wouldn't stop you, it is almost Tuesday though so if you do want to you should wait a couple days. Now if anyone tries to add adult images to the forum then that would be breaking the rules.

@giantsfan576: like I said before DrunkVader is not banned, he can't post because his karma is too high, his karma is too high because too many users flagged his posts. I have nothing to do with that as I don't moderate the forum and I don't go to any forums other then E&T and Bug Reporting. And as I said before he earned his bans, I stand by them and I'm sure the other mods would too as they were entirely justified.

This is probably a similar reason DV got high karma. What did BB do? Posted a video in response to the thread? Humorous and relevant. Vader does the same thing but with pictures, shame he gets flagged for that, guess it's not ENTIRELY your fault though

@giantsfan576: I'm sorry your friend is angry and feels the need to lash out at me but you really shouldn't be helping him attack a mod for enforcing the rules of the site. You should ask him why he was banned, maybe he will tell you the truth but I doubt it. All I can say is he broke our biggest rule and he did not handle it very well, I was well within the rules to ban every account he made but I didn't, I gave him a chance and let him keep his DrunkVader account so he could be a productive member of the forum, if he wants to take that opportunity and waste it that is on him but you seem to be a decent user so please don't let him drag you down.

@giantsfan576: getting the townsfolk riled up with the torches and pitchforks to go after a mod is an attack, I don't take offense to it and as you see I haven't banned you, increased your karma or done anything in retaliation, I am a reasonable person and have done nothing but followed the rules both in this situation and the one with your friend.

I've made my point clear about the situation and how it is within the rules, I'm sorry if you find the material objectionable but up until now you didn't even know it existed here which goes to show we have done a good job of keeping it away from anyone that doesn't want to see it for over six years now, as a wiki that indexes all comics we can't ignore the fact that these comics exist because of personal beliefs or biases. You'd be surprised at some of the famous creators these days that have previously worked on adult comics such as Bill Willingham, ignoring these works is a disservice to the medium that we all love.

Honestly I thought this thread was gonna be about nudes of the moderator in question.

Anyone can make an ordered list go past 100 items but you sacrifice the ability to edit the list once you go past 100.

This is ridiculous, there seems to be some kind of common consensus on this site that the moderators are secret cabal that work together to eliminate people from their enemies list. We are simply administrators of a website, with a focus on forums or the wiki, or for some of us, both. The standard for becoming a moderator is that we have proven ourselves to the staff with worthy content over the years and proved ourselves to be valuable and trustworthy members of the community.

Pika and I do not always see eye to eye in terms of decisions or outlook, but it is undeniable that through his work in the wiki that he has earned his spot as a moderator and the ability to decide on the direction of the wiki, including who gets banned from editing it. Anyone with grievances about moderators should probably take them directly to staff, instead of trying to slander moderators in the forums. The latter will invariably backfire.

Is it on par with Tarot or worse? I'd say Tarot should be the edge of what is allowed.

Wikipedia is still an ostensibly all ages site and contains pretty graphic pictures of sex and nudity because they still fall under it's mission to catalogue everything noteworthy, don't see why the comic vine can't maintain the seedier sides of the comic industry.

@warlock360: if you consider Tarot bad I would suggest not digging too deep into the wiki or you may have a stroke. That is a mature readers title, it isn't even adult, even the non-graphic depictions of sex in it are barely the equivalent of R rated softcore television porn with fake penetration. With that specific cover I've seen more watching regular tv shows.

I wouldn't put moderators on a pedestal, lol - but when it comes to wiki-editing, there are worse infractions along the lines of crappy fan art than nudity that I have a bigger problem with.

Bottom line, you have to LOOK for erotic art on here. Clickity click, Barba-trick. I mean, it's not like someone would go through a person's image gallery specifically to look for an excuse to warn them or anything over dubious images, right? That would be not only pathetic but clearly targeting a person. To go so far as to make a thread about something which can only be found through stalking a profile or a user's actions on this site (like people uploading images to the wiki of content which is mature but legitimate) just spells creepy to me.

Slander is a serious word. People who attempt to spread rumours and undermine users on this site have bigger issues than perceived injustices, wiki-editing or other-wise. If your friend is upset about getting banned and is right, he or she should go about proving why instead of focusing on what appears to be a vendetta of some sort.

Anyway, this isn't a case of double standards in terms of moderating, more like sour grapes.
