Can't upload an image

I'm trying to create a page for the new Batman/Dylan Dog crossover, but every time I try to upload a cover image, it says "Error upload images: Not an image file." The file is a jpg, but I also tried saving it as a png and it still wouldn't work. Am I doing something wrong?

@netspiker: it was most likely something else and then someone changed it to a jpg, my guess would be webp, webp is taking over...

if you send me a link to the original image file I can take a look and convert it if need be.

@netspiker: I just tried uploading the original and the optimized versions of the image and it worked fine so it might have just been a temp issues with the uploader, sometimes it crashes and you have to wait for it to restart.
