@pikahyper: yeah on that same note, I have a list of volumes which need help which I'm trying to narrow down, but going slowly...
always slightly annoying, but I'm sure we'll fix it in time for the next wave :P
@TugboatRogers: I didn't know them either so that's why I didn't add them :P I'm only comfortable adding data I know to be accurate so with foreign comics that is limited to character appearances from the covers, adding creators where their full name is printed on the cover and adding them to story arcs if they have a story arc banner on the cover.
Couple months back I actually had a huge issue with a user that had your same exact problem with the foreign issues filling up the recent issues widget and it caused me a lot of stress cause the user went the extreme route and started adding the start year to every issue and then started adding nonsense years. The user was actually following behind me and as soon as I added the issues the user would add the fake dates, the user did it to hundreds of issues before I figured it out and brought it to the mod's attention, the user promised to stop and actually add the real dates to the issues to get unbanned but didn't and a few days later started deleting the character appearances to worm around the promise and removed the character appearances for hundreds of issues before getting caught again and banned.
Edited to add: about 10% of the Panini issues I added did actually have dates on the covers, fairly rare for them but when the dates were available (and I could make out the small blurry text) I did add them.
Seems like the whole DC/Marvel release date thing is rearing its' ugly head again. Noticed a lot of comics added recently have the non-indicia date.
Can anybody think of a creative way to spread the word to people? Or at least punish the guilty <evil laughter>? I've just been fixing them as I see them, but if there was a way to identify who did it in the first place and just PM them to point them to this article?

If you give some example links I can probably tell who did the date adding.
@pikahyper: Someone changed issues 7-10 of Venom (2011) to their "actual" release dates instead of the dates on their indicia.
@jloneblackheart:
@pikahyper: All these issues added/released today have the wrong month (Feb instead of April):
Somebody needs a scolding! ;^)
@nosoop4u: too many users have edited those but I'll start keeping a closer eye on the new releases again, I've been posting on users walls a lot lately for both dates and un-italicized solicits, some have apologized and started adding things correctly but others have ignored me, not much can be done about that unfortunately :/

How do I add an entirely new wiki page? I found a TPB that doesn't exist on CV, and would like to add it.
I have a question about simply moving a comic from it's current page.
Wanted is a series and Wanted: Dossier is a one-shot, but is listed on the Wanted page. The result is that there are two issues of Wanted marked as #1. I want to move Wanted: Dossier #1 to its own page.

I moved it to it's own volume, here
@fesak: Thanks. Would I have been able to do that myself? I am new to editing and have pretty much just been adding pub dates of comics that I have.
Also, is there a way to edit a group of individual issues? It gets tedious when adding the same writer, illustrator, colorist, etc to several issues.
@enochroot: moving pages requires a moderator to do it, it is to prevent abuse.
And for pretty much the same reason as above all editing is on a per page basis, bulk editing is something we've wanted for a lot of years but we just can't do it, we attract a lot of bad "editors" and they tend to ruin things for the rest of us unfortunately.
@enochroot: you'd know by now if you weren't :)
Doctor Fate #2 comes out this week and has not been added yet
@pikahyper: Oh that's weird yeah my sources say so too. They released a preview for it like late last week so I just assumed it came out today. My bad!
@njg5595: might have been a delay from like a printing error or something, that kind of thing happens from time to time, a preview could have been released early by accident too since SDCC is this week, the lead up week or two before SDCC usually throws publishers into a confused frenzy with all the work they have to get done.
@pikahyper: yes, sorry
@cirsten This isn't the best way to get issue's added, you can add them yourself by creating a volume for the issue, then adding the issue itself. It's actually quite easy, the only problem for new user's is having to wait for the volume to be added as it will have to go through moderation.
I was told by a moderator that you need to be a trusted editor (or something along those lines) to have new releases get approved and that there wasn't a time limit to wait. How will I know if I am trusted enough to be able to get a new release I submitted approved? Thanks in advance!
