In shonen jump they have an official statement saying that Vegito and gogeta are equals

So no more of the arguments over who wins

Most of the stuff they write are made up.

Though, they used the mangas to affirm that Potara fusion> Metamol fusion. The mangas states that the potara was superior than the metamol fusion, not stronger....................Wait!!! Why am i trying to explain this as if it made sens? DB is one of the most, if not the most, inconsistent series ever.

The real reason is "Toriyama forgot". It won't be the first time nor the last.

That doesn't make sense, Potara is suppose to be stronger.

although under equal circumstance the dance can be just as strong as potara but the potara will still be superior

The won who actually wins fights instead of being a meme is stronger.

Potara from DBZ has basically been retconned in super with the time interval. No reason to doubt that normal fusion and this one would be equal, assuming it came from a Canon source
