He's kinda dumb but i definitely wouldn't say he showcases any beta male tendencies. If anything, saiyans are all about being alpha what with their pride and all.

What? He's practically a God who works out almost all day and never avoids a fight.

Showing respect for his wife and friends, not hitting women and being an idiot don't make you a beta male. He's definitely not the jerk like a lot of the people who call themselves alphas but he has a lot of honest, hardworking qualities.

Not, Gohan is the "beta" (skinny and nerd)

Ill say yes. Is Goku a bad ass? Absolutely.

Is he a beta? Yes, because he almost always fails in defeating the main bad guy (aka the alpha)

So technically he is a beta, who is always challenging to be an alpha.

Just because he acts dumb and friendly doesn’t mean he’s beta that’s just how he is and I love it

Technically.. he is alpha.

"the dominant male animal in a particular group"

"a man tending to assume a dominant or domineering role in social or professional situations."

and it's exactly what he does. Losing a fight does not make you beta, it just makes you weaker than the other guy.

No.

The skinny part would’ve only been accurate 4 years ago. If you’re going to rip on Gohan do it right.

An alpha male has the confidence and self-assuredness to lead naturally without thinking about it, and to raise up, praise and protect other members of the group like a parent or teacher, rather than dominate, bully or demean them, which is more of an omega trait. The alpha makes sure the weaker members of the pack eat before he does, at least in many animals including humans and other primates.

I'd say that that's a pretty good fit for Goku to an extent, the problem being that he doesn't take responsibility for his group as much as an alpha traditionally would and is more self-centered. He definitely isn't a beta by any means.

He was more alpha in his childhood days lmao.

@falsearcher: Yea thought his version was better defining him. Forgot to mention his name thanks though. My English isn't all that good to explain it in details as I would have. I had same topic on Kanzen so I re-visited it when I remembered someone already answered this.

I was about to add his name though tbh but mobile version doesn't support YouTube and it keeps loading so it won't update.

Anyways, still defines him. If you ask me Goku is more finely defined and rationalized when you compare him to a sigma male.
