Apparently some time in the past Beerus demonstrated hakai to goku and vegeta. Apparently Goku did what he does with all techniques that weren't made by him and stole it. Though from what happened in the manga it seem like he didn't like having to use it. He said it was too dangerous.

The manga feels more like fanfiction with every new chapter
