Meh. Pretty lame. I'd rather just have the really Broly, but with a better back story. It seems like Toei is trying to appeal to Broly fans and those that want a female saiyan at the same time, but it just doesn't work out (IMO). Also, I could've sworn DB Multiverse did something similar. Have a cute looking girl transform into something more manly.

This all Toriyama's doing, mind you. He's been working side-by-side with Toyotaro for a few months by new, and since he's unhinged of his editors, he's just having fun bringing to life whatever crazy ideas he has. Just relax and enjoy Toriyama's wild ride.

Broly is not canon. The Legendary Super Saiyan visuals that Broli had are now canon.

What was the back story again? Broly hates Goku because when they were babies, Goku kept crying and crying and Broly hated hearing that, and that turned him evil or something.

Hey guys can i ask a quick question? i kno ppl say broly isnt canon but during bio broly when 18 was talking mr satan she said he owed her money cause she through the tournament and then it showed a flash back to the tournament which i believe happened right before buu. So my question is if tht is the same tournament tht happened before buu wouldnt tht make Broly canon? any thoughts on this? by the way super hyped over this new girl cant wait to find out what she can do.

@y3kthunder: It's a good point since Toriyama wrote neither, but one of them is part of a series that is canon and one is of a movie that it not. Toriyama once described the movies he had no part in as part of an alternative dimension. I think Girl-Broly being from one of the other Universes is his way of bringing him into the main story. I hope he does the same with Pikkon and Janemba.

I don't mind that Broly is a chick. What bothers me is that we finally get a canon female SSJ, and yet she seemingly has to look like a dude to achieve it.

@nemesisreloaded: yeah ok i could see tht happening now tht you mention them being alternate dimensions. i also agree tht it would be awesome to make pikkon and janemba canon to for me id rather see Janemba or a Janemba like character coming into the show. but to be most honest i want to see them bring Gogeta into the canon world although ppl mostly agree on vegito being more powerful Gogeta is diffinately easier to make. also was the ending of DBZ just like not happen cause i dont see uub no where

I laughed my ass off when they kept the shirt on after her transformation, because I know for a fact the writers had a legit hour long serious discussion about whether they should leave the shirt on because it's a woman, or take the shirt off because classic Broly never had one.

@itouchedtheboat: To be fair, none of Broly's cloths get torn or damaged when he grows impossibly larger either, they just expand with him. Broly must just like being shirtless.
