Since Deadpool's first appearance in NEW MUTANTS #98, back in 1991, this character has taken Marvel by storm. He's got a hit on-going series and a new film coming out in 2016. What about the folks that just don't know a lot about him? Well, PureCostumes has a new infographic that reads like a Deadpool 101.

Hmm this is actually really lame and misinformed. By not explaining the teleporting (it's a belt based on Cable's technology and usually requires him to be around) and the immortality (Thanos and Deadpool are both in love with Death, and Thanos punished Deadpool out of jealousy by denying him the ability to ever be by her side, as he cannot die) it makes it seem like these are intrinsic parts of his powers by even listing them.

Nope, he was a part of Weapon X for a time, which is in Canada. But he was born in the US.

Actually, he is Canadian born and raised as seen in 2013 Duggan run, in issue 34 we see him go to Canada to kill his parents with Sabertooth, and it was also mentioned in the original sin run.

Also in the good, the bad and ugly, Butler said that he implanted false memories in Deadpool and that it was actually him (Butler) that was born and raised in Ohio, not to mentioned that Deadpool himself said that he always felt that he was Canadian...

I was always under the impression he was Canadian and that it was mention several, I remember his team up with Captain Britain where they swap 'nationalities' with Deadpool becoming British and Cap becoming american only for Deadpool to pretest and point out that he was in fact Canadian.

Now I'm unsure but I'd prefer him to be Canadian.

@grandmasterrude: Ah, never read that run so I didn't know his American citizenship was a false memory. They change his origins up so much. I know he's crazy and all, but it feels like they're just ripping off the Joker at this point.
