Deadpool

I tend to not like Deadpool (or his fans) his brand of family guy-esque mania just isn't all that interesting or funny to me. Though I very much enjoyed him in Uncanny X-Force and that Gail Simon run was solid.

It's not nearly as subversove as it or other people have said it was. But what it is however, is a really solid encapsulation and adaptation of the Joe Kelly-esque Deadpool. The marketing was on point. It's structured in a really weird but utterly smart B-movie kind of way. It's a 50 million dollar superhero movie and I'd love it for more of those to exists.

I didn't like it as much as some of my friends but I'm glad it exists.

why are you guys crying about Colossus for?!?!?! This is the best he's ever been! He had the right size and personality. And guess what else?! HE ACTUALLY HAS LINES THAT LAST LONGER THAN 2 SENTENCES! If you don't like it go watch 'Days of future past' where dies.... TWICE!

Just saw it. Loved it. Only complaint was too many penial jokes, negasonic what's her face looked a bit out of place and sometimes he cursed just to be cursing but overall I loved the film and would definitely go see it again

Red huh? I was hoping it be more Green Band because I think the Green Band trailers are funnier. I'm still want to see it but I want an idea of what I'm walking into. Thanks for letting me know.

I agree with this article about the structuring of both timelines. I enjoyed both, but the some of the past timeline's pacing just took me out of the movie for a bit, had it not been for the nude scenes and Ryan Reynold's perfectly timed comedy. But the one thing that's making me give this three and a half stars instead of four is the main antagonist, who felt more like a plot device than an actual fleshed out villain like Magneto.

Overall, I loved this movie, and personally, this is yet another film I feel like 20th Century Fox did a better job than Marvel Studios.

But for me, I would give it a 5/5 stars.

You know why? Because I thought it was just all gonna be jokes and killing people.

But the love story was great. There was a great connection.

OH i just checked Deadpool on IMDB and it said in the trivia section:

"The end fight sequence takes place on a decommissioned shield helicarrier from the Avengers and Captain America movies"

Agreed, not sure what everyone wants from the character, he was never really meant to be the main protagonist or be explored emotionally in this film.

I didn't expect to love it this much but I was absolutely amazed of how good it was. I loved every single minute of the movie. The only complaint I have is that I wished the movie was a bit longer, I just needed more of Deadpool and more of Reynolds. And even though there are no well known and popular actors they all did a great job and everything seemed realistic as possible.

I honestly thought I wasn't going to enjoy this movie as much as everyone else but I loved every second of it. I can't believe how good it was.

I personally would've liked it if they had explicitely said "Weapon X" and stated Wade's healing factor came from Wolverine like in the comics. But I guess they really couldn't afford Hugh Jackman.

Really enjoyed this movie way more than I thought I would. The pacing was great, the comedy was fantastic and action scenes were awesome. Ryan Reynolds did a fantastic job with role.

Btw, Gina Carano looks like a hot Amazonian and Brianna Hildebrand is cute. Hope to seem them in other movies.

I think the movie was great. It opened more opportunities for other movies to become rated-R and still be awesome like Spawn. I'd give it 5 stars

As someone who is not the biggest fan of Deadpool in comics, outside of team ups, this was a fantastic movie. One of the funniest films I have ever seen. My wife and I could not stop laughing.

Yep. They were limited with a budget of 55 million dollars and it wasn't enough to have Hugh Jackman in the movie. Which is a bummer because now this movie is about to make tons of money and will probably have the opportunity to cast some big time actor for the sequel.

I'm now worried the rest of the years offerings will feel disappointing in comparison and I wasn't even rooting for this movie either, I always found Deadpool kind of an annoying character but this movie greatly exceeded my expectations which were already high-ish thanks to the marketing campaign.

Officially one of the best CBMs I've ever seen. ^_^

I'm impressed you didn't realise the post-credit scene was a homage to Ferris Bueller... I'm almost disappointed in you guys. That was the whole point of it...
