WW is a bullet timer and steppenwolf could tag her and react to her. Aquaman could react to steppenwolf and even tag him. So that makes him just as fast as her right? Or is wonder woman's combat speed all over the place?

@cfrehse:

I think it's more Wonder Woman, it seems she just suddenly forgot her superspeed.

Well in the promo teasers for Justice League It was said that one of Aquaman's powers was super speed.

Diana speed is fine, being a bullet timer doesn't make you untouchable to non-bullet timers, and Steppenwolf as unimpressive as he was should be quite considerably above that based on his missile feat. Most importantly tagging someone doesn't makes you as fast as them.

I don't recall Arthur showing bullet timing feats but he should logically be one.

He didn't display any bullet-timing feats, but he should be in that hierarchy of speed nonetheless considering how he performed against Steppenwolf who reacted to a missile and could contend with Wonder Woman.

I don't recall Steppenwolf ever hitting her without her blocking

while Aquaman hasn't shown the same speed as WW or SW

Its pretty standard in comics and comic mediums for characters to not utilize there speed at times. I don't think wonder woman being tagged by Stepphenwolf means she is slow and I don't think it makes aquaman fast. When aquaman starts showing feats of blocking bullets with his trident we can revisit this topic.

Wonder woman wasn't slow in JL. Rather Steppenwolf was fast, had reflexes that enabled him to catch a supersonic missile fired towards him and deflect another few seconds apart. Diana's superior speed is visible when she's fighting slower opponents. With opponents that are as fast or faster, she'll appear normal or slower obviously. Although it isn't explicitly shown, Aquaman should have a degree of superhuman speed, maybe similar to Diana or maybe a tad slower. He's a legit superhuman after all, above street level characters and he did hold his own against Steppenwolf, someone who has supersonic reflexes.

Bullet-timer are orders of magnitude faster than the fastest human reaction time. It only makes sense if Aquaman has super speed to even keep up with Steppenwolf and WW in battle. Although i wouldn't say he is as fast as WW yet, but he is close.

No, he is not a bullet timer. However, he is bullet proof.

Diana dodged/Blocked almost every single strike from Steppenwolf, and was only tagged once. She even outright blitzed him atleast once.

Arthur got tagged easily by Steppenwolf.

It's possible. The Aquaman movie implied that a lot of atlanteans can at least break the sound barrier in water (Mach 4), not just Aquaman but Arthur is also above most. Steppenwolf could easily see and react to him underwater and his performance wasn't all that different on land. While his running speed probably isn't mach speed, its fair to assume that his reaction is not all that different on land than it is underwater.

No, he's definitely meta in terms of speed, but he's not nearly fast enough for bullet timing.

This is where reaction speed and travel speed is different, Arthur definitely has mach travel speed underwater and can move to avoid things as best as possible, but can't necessarily react to something coming at him at mach speed
