Was Marvel not releasing several new series in the second example?

Um, this doesn't support the 'failure of DC'. It supports the resurgence of Marvel. Plus, the comics industry as a whole is doing much better now than it was in 2011.

Plus March was also Convergence for DC, so they weren't using their regular titles the whole month.

So because no one believes in your CLois thread, you now have to attack DC as a whole... good luck with that.

But that was during the Blackest Night, one of the best events DC ever did, and they obviously would sell a lot. And that was the Convergence month, they basically "stopped" selling comics for 2 months.

She made a thread bashing the SM/WW pairing and prasing the CLois pairing, she showed sale comparisons for that month of the Convergence Superman series and SM/WW 17. THis person is known around the interwebs for doing this and having multiple alts. Sadly she never takes lots of things into consideration so she's always stretching. Needless to say almost everyone on that thread roasted her for it

@saintwildcard: Fans of SM\WW never believe the truth. They're always trying to find stupid excuses. And the fact that that almost all all recognized the fact that comics with Clois sold much better.

But I added created this blog to show how terrible the sales results of the New 52.

Wow...and yet DC, like Marvel, is still making tons of money.

I mean, it's not like they're one of the two biggest comic book companies on the planet.

I must have missed when Dark Horse or Valient took over. Or was it Image? Boom?

Seriously, someone help me out, cause I'm not entirely sure what the point of this is? To show that DC is on the verge of bankruptcy or something?

@mrmazz: Wow, I'm glad that the industry has been growing so fast since 2011. I wish there was international sales as well since the rise of digital would mean more sales worldwide.

@mrmazz: here is an interesting stat on how popular "US" digital comics are outside US. US comic sales outside US are often underestimated by people since stats for outside US are rarely shown.

Chooses a 2011 month during DC peak of sales during an event that's a sequel to one of DCs most successful. Chooses easily one of DCs least successful months due to being pre event and not publishing batman. 11 of the Marvel titles are under 7 issues, 5 are number 1s. Only uses top 19 and 16 sales instead of entire company sales. Doesn't know how to troll properly.

Why is everyone on this forum so obsessed with knocking DC? Is that the new cool thing to do?

I have to assume that people who make threads like this simply haven't been reading comics for very long. Trends come and go.

Basically, along with people still not being over Flashpoint wiping out the post-Crisis world they'd grown attached to.

DC is having a slightly down year compared to the prior year but it is not horrible. Marvel has just been able to grow mostly due to their Star Wars books. Marvel's non Star Wars books will also most likely take a dip from 2014. I'm planning on writing up a blog on the 2015 financials after the December data has been released. Here is one I wrote after Q2 about the impact of Star Wars and there is an update for Q3 in the comments.

2014 Sales
2014 Sales
2015 sales through November
2015 sales through November
Star Wars sales through November

Only one comic in the Top 10, which has no relation to the New 52.

Sales results comics DC in 2010 were much better.
