Just get rid of Grant Morrison already DC

Wonder Woman:Earth One from the sounds of it will be the typical pretentious Morrison garbage ,and I cringe that that may be the first comic they pick up after seeing Batman v Superman.

He may be a hit with a small group ,but that won't get you anymore then that.

Multiversity was awesome so no.

Even if Morrison wasn't one of the best writers of the past 25 years, his books sell like crazy. DC would be stupid insane to not want to work with him.

I've never been so confused reading a comic, as I am reading a Grant Morrison written comic. But when he's not writing on a acid trip, the man can spin a damn fine entertaining yarn.

Different strokes for different folks.

Whether you like him or not, Morrison is good for DC. He brings readers and therefore brings money and he plants ideas that will be used decades from now. Getting rid of Morrison would be foolish on DC's part as such an action would surely alienate his fans, of which there are many. Besides, I'm sure Marvel would swoop him up quickly if given the chance.

Grant Morrison is the god of the DC Multiverse

Some people see him as the Brian Michael Bendis or Jonathon Hickman of DC (as in that he's been trusted with major events and stories but has ended up permanently damaging the continuity) but he genuinely isn't. Not everything he touches turns to gold, but imho at least some of it does.

Even then, the list of people that should be gone before Morrison is pretty long. Scott Lobdell is at the top of that list, if you ask me.

His writing style may not be suited for everyone but I think we can all agree that he puts a lot of effort into his stories especially his runs on Batman&Justice league.

Here's a better idea; Get rid of Geoff Johns and let Morrison get his job, then we might have a DC where more than 4 or 5 books are worth reading.

I wonder what black magic spell Morrison cast over the DC offices in order for much of his material to still remain canon when nu-52 was formed. Having never been a huge fan of his (his JLA run was the only work of his I somewhat liked) I nonetheless understand why he's still employed; he's a name that sells. Like Frank Miller or BMB, he's one of those writers who could even make absolute tripe and still get acclaim regardless because he carries weight in media.

I would more prefer Brian Azzarello went back to WW stuff again.

Out of curiosity, is there a video or maybe an article where somebody actually goes over why Grant Morrison is a God, because I've tried his Batman run, JLA, and another one that escapes me, and I just don't like his style and don't understand why people say he's the best, so if something like this does exist I'm very interested in reading/watching it.

Grant Morrison has a solid background of the titles he writes. That's why you need to know well the hero before reading any Morrison book. He writes complexe stories, not some bad popcorn movie scenario. I agree you can sometimes get confused reading his books. But he always try to be original and does good to renew the titles. For Batman he brought in new vilains, created Damian Wayne, wrote the nice Batman Inc. None of his stories are horrible or awfull or bad or shit. Of course some are better, and some are a little less good. But he clearly has tallents, even if he is not my favorite writter.

As for those who say that Snyder is better. Let me disagree. He too has good ideas, looking into gotham's past for exemple. I loved Gates of Gotham and his Owls arc. But then I read Death of the Familly and I found it the worst story I've read of Batman ! And the joker's look !? Who agreed on this mask !? And Snyder, unlike Morrison, doesn't show that he knows well the Batman. Snyder is too inconsistent in his work. But to end on a more positive point, Snyder is not the worst writter. And it's not because the writting is mediocre that the public won't like it ! Look at Avatar for exemple, it won no prizes over its scenario !

To conclude, Morrison is a good writter, who knows well his subjects and his sales aren't bad. So why get rid of him ?

Grant Morrison and Scott Snyder are great writers. I would like to read from them even more.

No that is the problem. The DC leadership Harras and Nelson, is completely lost. They gave those roles to their friends rather than who is qualified. If I was the President of DC than I would make Morrison have control over Superman in all froms, comics, movies etc. The same with Bruce Timm with Batman.
