DC Announces 10 More Convergence Titles Featuring Pre-Crisis On Infinite Earths Characters

DC's upcoming event, CONVERGENCE, will have its own 8-part limited series, but it'll also have a grand total of 40 2-part limited series connecting to it! 30 have already been announced (click here, here, and here to see them), and now it's time to get a look at the final 10! Fans of DC's earlier years are sure to be pleased because it's taking us into the time before Crisis on Infinite Earths! Why oh why does Blue Beetle have to be written by Lobdell?

The way DC keep bringing back elements of the old, Pre Crisis, universe is such a blast. I'm really looking forward to the Earth-2 stuff, keeping my fingers crossed that they manage to keep the overall quality up where it deserves.

I got a kick out of them hiding Captain Nazi's swastika on the cover.

If these were regular stories and not universe A versus universe B under the dome, I would be way more interested as it stands the only one I'll probably pick up will be booster gold because it will continue his futures end issue and will likely have some importance.

I'm still not sure what's going on with 'Convergence'

I'm gonna start saving up. The way this is going, I'm gonna buy all 40 mini series.

I'd say that, while a lot of these look somewhat interesting, there's nothing in all 40 titles that screams "YOU MUST GET THIS!", which is unfortunate because I was actually kinda looking forward to these little blasts from the past.

Why can't they name the comics Seven Soldier of Victory ? World's Finest Comics is for Superman-Batman right ?

Btw, Where is Captain Carrot and Amazing Zoo Crew book ? They are on the promo art of Convergence

DC needs two months of filler that won't require much editorial input (because they're all moving to a new office across the country), so they commissioned a bunch of "What If" stories about alternate versions of characters. So basically the setup is that Brainiac snatched up a bunch of characters from different universes and put them all under a dome together, and these minis are just following what they're doing.
While some are hoping that the event will have greater relevancy, its probably best to just look at Convergence as a bit of fluffy filler that could end up being pretty fun.

JSA, Plastic Man/Freedom Fighters & Blue Beetle are must-buys for me. Everything else is meh. Plastic Man and the Freedom Fighters should be an ongoing, that scan of them standing on the rooftops is gorgeous.

I was excited for Blue Beetle until I saw Scott Lobdell and a part of me died. Idk what to make of this Convergence stuff. The cynic in me says that none of these stories really matter because 98% of what happens with this event won't have any impact on the regular DC continuity. Then the DC fan in me wants to believe that Convergence will actually matter. Then the pure comics fan in me says that it shouldn't really matter if these stories have a lasting effect as long as they are good. I really have no idea how all of this will turn out. I have an especially long time to wait before I find out because I only buy trades.

I hope these are all collected in trades eventually like the Flashpoint tie-ins. This week I'd only get Crime Syndicate and maybe JSA but I would definitely buy all the trades.

@sinestro_gl: The Future's End Giant Brainiac has bottled cities from not just other universes but also dead timelines ( pre-Flashpoint, pre-Zero Hour,Pre-COIE, Flashpoint, Kingdom Come, 1 Million, etc) and placed them on a world on the edge of the new52 multiverse. He then opens the domes and chaos ensues.
