Grifter is always worth reading not Richardsons best work but looks ok..Jim Lee is always better

There is good 90's and bad 90's. WildStorm is bad 90's.

I'll never get how Lee is one of comics biggest artist.

This is already looking to be DC's series of the year. I even forgot I was reading something from the company because it feels so Image.

You haven't been reading much Wildstorm then because Ellis's work began in the 90s.

Exactly. The Authority pretty much set the tone for modern comics. If it wasn't for that book there probably wouldn't be an Ultimate Marvel line. DV8 was way ahead of its time.

Oh man, DV8. That was Secret Six before there was Secret Six. They need to come back and they fit current times better than Gen13.

I love Afua Richardson's art so freaking much. Also, @gmanfromheck, you spelled her name wrong twice in the article.

I love me some Grifter, though a part of me wishes his series was still going in the mainstream DCU. I enjoyed seeing Grifter, Team 7, and Stormwatch, as well as Midnighter all getting retrofitted into the New52 DC.

This looks good though. Lee's cover isn't note for note like the image of JB. I hate Beiber as much as any man, but Cole has more of his stomach showing and has pants on. Since when do people hate on artists for using reference pics? Granted Lee shouldn't use something as mainstream as that [I always go back a few decades at least] for reference, you guys are making mountains out of ant hills. A better question would be why does it have such a bland background? Let Brett Booth come back to Wildstorm and do a cover or two for this.

I always thought Grifter's name was Spartan.

Spartan was the red, white, and blue clad leader of W.I.L.D.Cats.

Fantastic setup for an espionage story. Ellis knows exactly what he's doing.

First issue was the good so I'm on board.

I wished that Jim Lee NEVER sold Wildstorm to DC Comics in the first place.
