i'm getting this book who else is getting this book?

I'm getting a very strong 'Ultimate Spider-Man' vibe off of this book, which is definitely a good thing. I have a feeling this is going to easily become my new favorite series.

Kids today... can't even take their noses away from their cell phones. Not even when fighting crime.

Less excited for this than silk, but still gonna try it out.

I haven't read anything from Latour but form the preview it looks lie its gonna be fun.

Does anyone know why the Edge of the Spider-verse 2 is popular though?

I was under the impression that Gwen was the only reason any of the Spider-Verse stuff is popular.

Edge of Spider-Verse was a pretty cool miniseries with a lot of cool ideas. Not only this one. Sp//dr was awesome as well and we finally saw a comic with Denis Medri's steam punk version of the spiderverse. Edge of the Spider-Verse 2 and the spider-gwen story were just the coolest of them all. But that doesn't mean the rest sucked or anything, this was the coolest among a lot of cool ideas and I'm glad they're turning it into an ongoing.

I really resist her cute flats. It makes the design feel so in love with itself.

Silk was really good, hope this isn't so I don't have to choose.

This has a very Ultimate Spider-Man vibe to it. I just hope it's more story and character than hype...

The art Style is amazing and I am so excited for this series, already have 3 variants pre-ordered and a poster framed of issue 1's regular cover. Glad my store has all of the regular variants coming!

I'm loving this... I agree that it has an "Ultimate" vibe, and that's a really good thing. I'm also glad this was not made as a Spider-Verse tie-in! That would've been a turn-off.

I'm really excited for this! Gwen is my favorite character without powers.. Now she's even more awesome!!!

Really glad this isn't set in the 616. This book looks perfect.

It's going to be interesting to see how post Secret Wars screws this up.

And so it begins. Really hope this series goes on for a long time. I really liked what they had going with Scarlet Spider, so I hope that this series goes beyond that.

So awesome. This is one of the few rare times I know I won't be disappointed with a new character in a new series.

I enjoyed Edge of Spiderverse # 2 oodles; not a huge fan of biiiiig crossover epics, having been jaded by the 90s, but I am looking forward to her solo book. Reinventing Gwen, a character long cast as a pawn and victim in Spider-Man's corner of comicdom, is a bold stroke that may appeal to new readers while stirring the hearts of long-time Spider-fans, amazing, spectacular, or otherwise. Also, in her particular divergent earth, other Marvel characters have been reinvented in compelling ways as well. See the afore-mentioned title to see what I'm talking about.
