CHAMPIONS #3

What began as an idea and an ideal has now become a movement! But the problem with movements is that not even the Hulk can control them!

They are great, some of my new favorite characters joined into a team [as I was hoping for a couple of years]
Still don't like the art [Ramos is not one of my favourite], but Waid is great in writing... so go on Champions :)
@del_torro: They would get hurt anyway, wouldn't they? Unless "kill them all and burn the building" is a metaphor I'm unfamiliar with.
For being a complete team, they need at least another member, female, with magical/mythical power, which may include telepathy...
...well, I'm thinking to Hummingbird...
@waezi2: true, wish they had a Telepath to help with this kind of missions
Man this art is painful.
>Be a comic book based on PC platitudes like diversity and inclusion
>Include dialogue encouraging the research of Malala Yousafazi, who really gets mentioned for no reason and is not as popular among her people as one might think.
>Have the villains be be stereotypical middle eastern terrorists.
What are we doing here Marvel??
@cattlebattle: She's popular here in the West though, it's no wonder Waid would name drop her even if it has nothing else to do with the plot.

Wouldn't the best way to show Muslim in a positive light would be to have a Muslim beating an extremist? Showing that terrorists and Muslims are not the same thing?
@poeticwarrior: @cattlebattle: I see a Muslim part of team standing up for Muslim girls and their right for education by fighting Terrorists like the Taliban who use Islam as tool for their evil ideology.

Why is cyclops so young
he is time displaced version along with orjinal 5
@nanamormor90: Even so, he wasn't THIS young.
@thatlyn_yoaeg_ill_rymmin: Is Hummingbird still alive? She said she was dying soon when she was dancing with Speedball.
@cattlebattle: throwing their eggs in too many different baskets.

She was as of Clone Conspiracy. Scarlet Spider (Kaine) returns and Karn shows him that the New Warriors are OK. However, that scene was a flashback, and takes place before the Secret Wars timeskip, despite only being published a few weeks ago.

Truly. Reminds me of 90's art.
@stardustcrusader: Seriously.
@sp4rt4n: They'll just update the wardrobe.
I honestly don't know how long I'll continue pulling this book. I know that superhero stories have always had political metaphor but the fact that we have this ensemble and they exist to just tackle social issues is just boring and a waste of a decent roster. It feels like I'm getting slapped in the face with a political lecture rather than reading a comic
They could always take out Cyclops and replace him with Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider. If any of the ANAD younger X-Men join the team, I'd like to see Angel among the Champions roster again. As is it doesn't feel as much like a Champions book. Add those two and take away Scott, maybe add somebody like Kate Bishop/Hawkeye to add another female to the bunch...
I'd have the Champions of this era go up against similar characters in the same situation. Evil offspring and young henchmen of supercriminals trying to go their own way and be badder than their superiors.
