Man , this event is going to be crazy and that Scottie Young Cover is funny.

The build up to this arc has been better than what I expected. I was originally going to pass this story up, but now I'm on the hype train.

Glad to see people being positive. I know I was let down by Original Sin, but I think this will be good.

I give up, Marvel comics have gone down the drain and there's no saving them; unless they do a one eighty and reboot the fuck out of their franchise. And I mean, everything. Jump back twenty years and start all over again.

About the only thing they've done somewhat right is the introduction of the Earth-13034 Hyperion. And that is it.

I mean, let's be honest; even the movies are crap. Yes, they're entertaining, and the Amazing Spiderman reboot was pretty awesome; but the writing, the stories, the character development... just who writes these and who allows it?

Sorry Stan, Jack; your house is in shambles.

Can't wait for this. Love what they've done with Magneto.

I can't wait for this to come out! I really hope that Remender will bring out his A game for this.

I totally agree. Magneto is my absolute favorite character in comics and its nice to see him get some spotlight as anything other than a villain. I just hope Marvel doesn't cheese out on this event and push everyone but the Avengers to the background by the end of it as they do often.

@nappystr8: It's not, basically it picks up where last week's Uncanny Avengers #25 left off.

Preview looks good, hopefully that'll extend to the rest of the issue.

I've always liked the character and love this iteration of him. Feel free to hand over some Magneto recommendations for me to pick up :)

I really want to get all the variant covers in this style for this event but I know my CB shop won't have them and I don't wanna wait to buy them online. *sigh*

Well his new series is pretty awesome. So I would recommend his new solo series, the current run of Uncanny, and the short Uncanny run right before AVX. And of course Magneto: Testament is just a must read for the character.

Those are the links to the series. He was also pretty big in the late 70's early 80's when he did a stint as a member of the X-men. I don't know the exact issue he started, but the run was pretty enjoyable. I actually like the character better as an anti-hero than a villain. Hope those help.

Gah! After Civil War ruining some of my favorite characters, and AvX ruining others, AND Original Sin being such a let down, I said I was done with Marvel events. But I think I am finding myself being sucked into this event. Please, please, please don't let this one break my heart again Marvel. :(

@manel: Yea, no. Leave the multiple universal reboots to the distinguished competition lol. I haveno iinterest in seeing the stories I have been reading for most of my life wiped away. I will take what Marvel is doing in comics and movies over what DC is doing anyday, and judging by overall sales and critical reception a lot of people agree.

@antihero_jaymok: You didn't like Civil War? That was pretty much my favorite event ever.

@illmatic4177: I LOVED Civil War. But I didn't like how so many "heroes" tried to destroy the freedoms and lives (and cities) of other heroes, just because they were told to. I get that it was just a story, but Cap was right. Especially when these heroes had all fought together in the past, and were good friends. I STILL to this day, can't get over Ms Marvel taking out Spider Woman while her daughter was watching (which is ANOTHER reason I don't like that she now goes by Captain Marvel). But what I hated most is how only a little while later, everyone acted like it never happened and became Best Friends again.

I'm optimistic but I wouldn't be surprised if I'm let down. With that said, Red Skull looks pretty cool.

Again.... Red Skull made himself a mutant to wipe out mutants and also recruited a team of people who powers where awoken but apparently are not mutants. It so dumb.

Remender is so better then this. this is beyond stupid and if this good guys become bad guys nonsense happened then I'll be convinced that this isn't the same Remender that wrote uncanny x-force

I did. Just didn't get the same awe effect when I read Remender's X-Force run.

@drellassassin: Because regardless of my dislike for what they have been doing to their characters (and their readers by association) and my utter contempt for what the company has become... two of the first four comic books I read were a Marvel product, and elevated my spirits and inspired me to think better, to be better, and I keep hoping against hope that Marvel will wise up and return characters I so dearly love to their former glory.

And hey, I just call them as I see them. No one is required or expected to agree with me.

@drellassassin: Because some of the first comic books I ever read were Marvel comics, and although they weren't master pieces they were good. I keep hoping Marvel will wake up and try and find a balance between just publishing for the sake of sales and putting out honest to G-d good stories. Stuff that makes sense and doesn't contradict itself every other issue or sister-series.
