More Marvel Teasers: ATONEMENT and ASSASSIN

You knew it was coming. Marvel has released even MORE teasers. We actually decided to wait before posting the first.

ATONEMENT is for something by Nathan Edmondson and Phil Noto. What do the colors say to you? So much orange! Who needs to atone for something? We can also see this will be revealed during the AVENGERS panel.

Here's the second teaser for today.

Zeb Wells and Mike Del Mundo on a title with an assassin? During the Superior Spider-Man and Friends panel? Silver color? Could we finally see the return of Silver Sable?!?

Next week the answers will be revealed.

What are your thoughts on these?

Atonement is probably Ant-Man, I doubt they're giving Scarlet Witch her own book. Assassin might be Elektra considering Zeb Wells just finished a story in Savage Wolverine where she was the guest star.

@citizenbane: are they ever going to let that atonement thing go? every story with ant-man is atone for this, atone for that. give the guy a break.

I think all of these teasers will be the last phase before Marvel does a complete reboot combining what they think are the best parts of each universe and time-line.

@turel_hash_ak_gik: Well, it doesn't really help that Marvel just got out of an event where Pym's evil killer robot broke the universe......or that aforementioned killer robot is the villain of the next Avengers movie, which just so happens to be named after the event.

@citizenbane: sounds pretty likely to me. Orange even fits Hank Pym's (is he actually still calling himself Ant Man?) costume in a way. Hm, silver doesn't fit Elektra except when she's going back to her white outfit or something...

I actually thought Atonement would involve happenings in the New Avengers.

I'm curious about these two. I'm wondering what assassin is. I might pick that book up depending on the character. Assassin characters are really interesting characters to me. Just because it said is enough to get me interested. If anyone is wondering why I like assassin characters or have an interest in them, you blame Ezio from the Assassin's Creed franchise.

@dernman: I agree. I don't think people realize that not all of these teasers are for new series but the new jumping on points for existing ongoings.

I think these two will be new series though since they are creative teams that are not associated with a book at this point. I do agree that any of teasers that show the same creative team that is already tied to a book will just be jumping on points for new readers.

The colors for "Assassin" make me think Moon Knight.

With Nathan Edmonson its easy to guess something espionage-y. Black Widow would be a solid guess with the Atonement theme and all. I could also see him and Noto doing a Winter Soldier book but it seems less likely.

Im excited for the Zeb Wells one. I really like his comic writing, and the fact that it might be set in the Spidey verse is cool.

When will people realise that Marvel are not doing a New 52-type thing? People speculated it would happen at the end of AvX, and it didn't happen. People speculated it would happen at the end of Age of Ultron, and it didn't happen. Seriously. It's pretty obvious that they're not going to do one.

My heart is screaming Atonement is Kaine and Assassin is Venom.

My brain is telling me Winter Soldier and Black Widow, though, what with them being featured in the next Captain America movie.

I can't see a Silver Sable book selling, and Punisher has already been canceled a few times recently.

I'm starting to get irked at Marvel doing this. But..hmmm...Elektra maybe? I honestly don't know...

Wishful thinking, but I hope atonement has to do with Juggernaut.

Maybe Punisher and Elektra, they just had a thing in thunderbolts and Noto was on that book too
