Marvel sure does love their body-snatching, mind-wiping, deceptively replace this guy with another one stories, don't they?

I tried to use Fear Itself as a jumping point to get back into Marvel and the only success they made was making me stay far away.

Sorry Marvel fans, I know you all love your Marvel. I will say that the Venom series is pretty damn good and I am curious about the new series by Resurrection Man creators Abnett and Lanning.

But this? Bleh, pass.

I don't particularly like the artwork. Or rather, I don't particularly like the style in which the artwork has been done.

Two questions. 1: Wtf is up with Thors nose? 2: When will they take Fraction off Thor? I've said it once and I'll say it again, Fraction ruined Thor.

Eh, it was blatantly obvious to me that Thor wasn't staying dead after I read Shattered Heroes #8. Even before that, it seemed moronic to kill a character that is going to be one of the big faces in the Avengers movie next year. Though I do admit, the explanation for who Tanarus is was pretty neat. Still doesn't change the fact that he feels like an obviously temporary replacement 'god of thunder', nor that he often times looks like a caveman in fancy armor wielding a big metal pole.

People need to stop complaining. Fraction didn't ruin Thor, he has been bringing back more cosmic elements that were in the book when it started. For such a long time, the cosmic/alien side of the Asgardians was forgone in favor of the more mystical/fantastic (not saying it's bad). So Fraction returning to the more sci-fi roots brings on even more possibilities to the world of Thor and the characters within it. It doesn't ruin and/or hinder the title in any way.

I have followed Thor for some time now, but I really hate this. And I hate the Art. Ugh.

Thor has been my fav Marvel hero for close to 30 years. I cant even bring myself to buy this series. Bad art bad writing. its sad. I almost feel like id reather read the mid 90's stuff..and that was bad.

So where are the pictures of Tanarus.

Is Tanarus just Thor, with a different name (unbeknownst to others, spare Loki) , or is Tanarus someone new entirely?

@The Impersonator: TBH, I've never really liked him to begin with, i don't see the appeal that a hundred thousand others do, i just don't. He's not exactly an interesting character IMO.

You're gonna say I've missed things lately, but when did the title Journey into Mystery revert back to (Mighty) Thor? I mean, I can see it was 9 issues ago, but for what reason/which tie-in/why??

Aww..Journey into Mystery was so cool...

(I get what I get, from only following the TPB releases...)

This is the worst team in the history of the character. Fraction is a meh writer, he can write well only Iron Man and Iron Fist. Ferry is a terrible artist. I hate his style. Bring back Gillen and make Coipel artist.

Art is ok can be better

I vote for Gillen or Rob Rodi for The Mighty Thor, prefer Gillen in Both Collections, or Rodi in The Mighty Thor and Gillen in Journey into Mystery, Fraction is cool but in Iron Man and other comics Not in Thor.. Pasqual Ferry is MEH
