First Look: CAPTAIN AMERICA #10

I may not have properly expressed it but I have been so excited and happy having Ed Brubaker and Alan Davis handling the CAPTAIN AMERICA series. We've been seeing Steve Rogers dealing with the possibility of losing the Super Soldier Serum. It's something we've seen touched on before but there has been a different twist here. Last issue Sharon Carter kicked some major butt in trying to find a way to help Steve. Looks like the action is far from over.

I bought Captain America 1 - 3, they were awesome :D but then i had to drop it :( How's it been since then??

Falcon has rabies and Hawkeye is doing the mega-splits hitting those thugs. Man.

This title sucks so hard! Bad writing, mediocre art. I mean, only the first arc had really good art. I prefer Bru on some more espionage-like titles.

Didn't they JUST do this in Steve Rogers: Super Solider?

Yeeeeah I wish I could care about Falcon...but I just don't, he's as lame as everyone THINKS Aquaman was.

Wow, looks like Falcon suddenly took the Comedian's place. Seriously, don't the urban pacification panels look a lot like Watchmen scenes? Wicked stuff! Art doesn't look too bad, but hey, story's by Brubaker so it has to be great.

Next arc has me VERY excited.

I wont buy it ... but the artwork is nice!

Ultimate Falcon has a way cooler costume.... just saying....

horrible. I dropped it as well and won't pick it back up.

What the Hell is Hawkeye thinking? He's an archer. Archers are distance fighters. They don't leap into the thick of things. They don't have to. Whether his combat prowess is equal (it's not) to the arsenal in his quiver is irrelevant. It's just bad tactics to place yourself within the enemy's grasp when you can fight from a superior offensive & defensive location. Falcon's going to own this fight.

In my opinion, this is a constant mistake made in stories featuring Green Arrow and Hawkeye.

LoL, simply cause I am following ALL the DC comics new 52 and every small mini series in between I can't afford to follow marvel. I follow marvel by reading the reviews and comments people leave and download the free comics they release stuff like that. Its not that I don't like Marvel I love Marvel I just kinda got sucked into the DC since FlashPoint and the new 52 series I can't stop lol

The appearance of a rarely used character compared to Hawkeye being used everywhere? Who knew?

WTF leave caps serum alone, dont reboot hawkeye. If its not broken dont fix it.

Is Hawkeye trying to look like Ultimate Hawkeye now?

I think they just want him to look more like movie hawkeye who in turn looks like Ultimate to squeeze every penny out of him when the movie comes out... :/

This is a good series but for now the stories look like they are remaked from other classical stories

This is basically a continuation of that story.

This series started out great then went good and now it is sort of a "meh" title. Makes me sad considering the leaps and bounds Brubaker made in his first issues. Its cool to see some things from Cap`s past in the books but still it's just not a grand title. Time for Brubaker to maybe move on and let someone else give it a try?

is it just me or does hawkeye need a cooler looking bow? It's his freaking weapon of choice and he has some Physical education class quality bow. where does he buy his gear wal-mart?

Falcon vs. Hawkeye! The most epic bird-themed bout to ever grace the pages of--oh what's the point. Lame, semi-useless Avenger fights lame semi-useless Avenger. Ho-hum.

@(((Prodigy))): I think they maybe did this so non-comic readers can identify him as hawkeye because of the Avengers movie. The outfit is pretty similar to that, even if his comic colors are brighter.

Would be fun to see a book come out that takes the time to have its characters play up to their strengths and demonstrate such. I think comics need to evolve faster and cater to a more intelligent audience looking for an intelligent challenge evoking an intelligent reaction and interaction between protagonist and antagonist alike. Just saying.
