Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are out to make bullying a thing of the past with AVENGERS: NO MORE BULLYING #1, an all-new one shot featuring some of the best and brightest talents in the comic industry as they stand up for those who can’t stand up for themselves.

Arriving in January, this specially priced $1.99, 40 page one-shot contains three brand-new stories from top tier talents. Featuring fan-favorite Gerry Duggan (Deadpool, Nova, Hulk), rising star Sean Ryan (Uncanny X-Men/Nova/Iron Man: No End In Sight), Jeff Loveness, and Jody Houser making her Marvel writing debut, along with blockbuster artists Carlo Barberi (Thunderbolts), Tana Ford (New Warriors) Marcio Takara (Captain Marvel), and Gustavo Duarte.

From the streets of New York to the furthest corners of the cosmos, the heroes of the Marvel Universe are no strangers to bullying and the damage it can cause. Heck, half the time, bullying is why Marvel’s greatest super heroes chose to fight evil in the first place! Now, Marvel’s diverse roster of super heroes are ready to stand up and help those who cannot help themselves. The Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Amazing Spider-Man are out to put a stop to bullies everywhere with these three bombastic, can’t miss stories!

“From Peter Parker, Midtown High’s only professional wallflower, to the ever-misunderstood Kamala Khan, Marvel has a proud history of working to raise awareness about bullying and representing its victims as much as possible,” says series editor Devin Lewis. “Bullying is a problem that can affect everyone in a community, and it’s up to that very community to come together to combat it, and, with this issue, Marvel’s Avengers, Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy are joining the fight! I know how comic books can help ease that feeling of isolation, and I couldn’t be more proud or excited about the talent we’ve pulled together for this project!”

Face front readers, as the Marvel Universe’s greatest heroes are ready to take on a real world problem more troublesome than any super villain. The best and brightest talent assemble this January for AVENGERS: NO MORE BULLYING #1!

Looks like it'll be an interesting read.

Should I feel bad though that I actually started laughing when I saw the fat kid duct tapped to the flag pole?

Looks like you're the type of person who should read this.

@transformers1024: Don't feel bad, comedy is derived from laughing at other people's misfortune, it's written into our DNA.

Now this is something that should be out, coming from a once bullied "fat" kid.

But.....

Instead of doing this, they should introduce a hero who is overweight and bullied by peers. Now that would be awesome!!!

What with the whole aftermath of AXIS, and everyone acting like a douchebag, this seems like a stretch for the characters atm. :/

They kind of did, back in Avengers: The Initiative. A kid named Boulder (or Butterball), who managed to actually win over Taskmaster and Constrictor. heh

This doesn't really make any sense with Superior Iron man and Falcon , would be fine if it were a separate issue not tied in with the current marvel runs but I can't see Tony going from evil douche to suddenly wanting to stop bullying for an issue.

They tied the fat kid to a flagpole, I'm sorry, but that was hilarious.

If you read the last panel from right to left, it looks as if Spidey kidnapped the fat kid, tied him to a flag pole and left him there.

Wait the Avengers can barely stop serial killers, street gangs, and intergalactic dictators how can they stop bullying when all they do is fight other heroes.

Also the only hero who can stop bullying is the Punisher lol.

Only closed minds would think that this is 'pandering' or PC. I think this is cool. I used to be bullied, until I started kicking asses. Kids should start fighting back.

I love Carlo Barberi's art and all but my god. He never seems to stay on a book for more than 3 issues (or 4 if you're lucky). :/

This anti-bullying message will be completely negated when anyone reads any of the encounters between Marvel's A and B list heroes and the Great Lakes Avengers. They don't physically bully them but every time the GLA show up they talk down to them, insult them and most of the time exclude them from everything.

So how come its okay for them to bully people but its bad for regular people to bully?

Art's awesome Clint's looking fly. Also all those people complaining about the anti-bullying covers are you happy now? They made an issue dedicated to it, not just variant covers.

I like this idea. However it won't stop bullying which is truly a shame. But a nice idea is a nice idea.

Yeah, there will always be bullying but if enough awareness is given to it there's chance of stopping it from going totally overboard as in the case of the obese kid & Spidey strip.

That level of bullying actually warrants an investigation by the juvenile court...
