So is Dick giving up on the pretending to be dead thing because he just told a bunch of random kids he was the first Robin.

@the_kidd: I mean that's a solid point.

I don't really care cause the faking his death thing was dumb to begin with. He was unmasked on live tv, anyone who saw his face would know it was him regardless of whether he was allegedly dead. And if they can't see his face no one would realize its him regardless, even if he's publicly alive. It was a completely unnecessary plot point.

@the_kidd: I assume that Dick had the forethought to turn on his Hypnos implant before addressing a couple hundred strangers. Also there is no reason to believe that the general public has any idea that the original Robin and Nightwing are the same person. That being said this story looks really cool and minor details like that one can probably be over looked for the sake of the greater narrative.

Well, at least he's taking responsibility. I half-expected them to just force them to stop or something like that--which would have obviously not ended well.

Glad to see Jason's got his old look again, though! If even just for this story arc.

Although... why is Dick just freely telling people that he's the first Robin? I suppose people didn't necessarily figure out that Nightwing was the first Robin? Maybe.

@mangakid1995: He probably turn it on but I doubt it as their was a few shot of his face from the crowd perspective and it doesn't have the swirl. I think they already mention the public knowing Robin and Nightwing/Dick are the same person. That was how Lex figured out Bruce was Bats. Yeah, the story do look interesting.

@dan12456: Agreed, his face has become very recognizable now, Stephanie was able tell he was Dick Grayson over in Batman & Robin Eternal. Which I thought it was very dumb of him to turn off his hypnos in Gotham of all places. The 'death' plot point has also become unnecessary as the main reason he did it was to fool the Batfamily. Plus the hire ups at Spyral seems to desperately want him in their fold so I don't think they care whether or not the public knows he is alive as long as he does their work.

Everybody already knew he is Nightwing, so why would matter if he was Robin first? He lost his secret identity already

I love what they're doing over in Grayson. Finally exploiting who the man behind the mask is and tapping into what makes him such a magnificent character. I've grown fond of his globe trotting "007"-esque ventures and watching him inspire an entire movement has me thinking things are about to get wild in the Batverse.

I have a feeling Gotham's going to need all the help she can get with the looming threat of Mother(B&R:Eternal). Lets not forget the Court of Owls. And who better than Agent 37 for these young people to have on their side. It's war.

unfortunately, despite being a huge fan of both the robin persona and the characters that have taken up throughout the years, I'm... not feeling this at all.

I'll keep an eye on how it all develops because there's definitely a lot of potential here for it to go somewhere interesting, but otherwise I'll keep away for now.

DCYou honestly doesn't feel like it's happening it feels like it was just something DC usually says but doesn't really effect anyone? I was expecting see more diversity but this whateverrrr.. I know this is probably going be a great story.

Dick Grayson can lead anyone. Shoot ... I was ready to become a Robin after reading that.

....well damn. I've been against this idea from the start, due to the fact that you can't just go out and decided you want to be Robin. It takes months of training to do it without dying and it takes years more training and experience to master it, just like with anything else. I expected this series to have these kids going out there and flying in the fact of all of that. But these panels just had the exact opposite. Those panels with Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian are amazing.

Still on the fence about the entire concept and where it's going, but this was good.

I was gonna pass on this but... Now I gotta read it. That first scene was crazy kinda had the same tone as the beginning of the marvel civil war

shouldnt the "real robin's" confront alfred instead of these kids,he is the one putting them out there.
