Wow. That's some surprisingly good Humphries writing. Gonna read it and see what happens. I have faith that the writer who did Avengers A.I. is still in there somewhere.

This is either going to be amazing or it's gonna suck really bad. Planet Hulk is a fan favorite story for so many people, particularly Hulk fans. So if they manage to screw this up entirely then Doom help them.

Defo going to give this a shot even though I've not read the original run. Actually, I might just get them all.

Haha the Hulk Hogan at the bottom of the second cover is just awesome.

I'm picking this up with a handful of the other Secret Wars titles, but does anyone know whether or not all of these stories are priced at 4.99 ?

@jowser11: Yup. But I don't see why they felt the need to call it Planet Hulk if a Hulk isn't the MC.

I was hesitant about this at first but now...

Love Steve's costume in this.

Is it just me or is Arcade getting more dangerous as of late. I mean he used to just be some joke character that no one had a problem beating but since Hopeless's Avengers Arena he's really upped his game,

I mean he's now running dooms arena and is probably the one holding the ghost riders captive.

So, um, Steve defeats a whole clan of "Wolverines" and is now poised to "somehow" pose a threat a planet full of "Hulks"?

Rogers get an amp I'm not aware of ... or do we chalk this up to a "Secret Wars" creative license gone haywire again type scenario ... ?

One Wolverine is more than enough for Steve. One Hulk is, well, stating "overkill" is understating things just a tad.

Perhaps we all just assume the carbon copies are highly diluted versions of the original McCoys and enjoy the read for what it is ...

So these Hulks are going to be what.......0.00001% the strength of the original or what?

I don't think I've ever heard of Mark Laming, but that art is phenomenal. Definitely going to get this, craziness is sure to ensue.

Ugh, this completely misses what my favorite Hulk comic of the same name is about. But Pak's involved so I won't insta-hate this. Also, aren't they making this because the next Hulk movie will be Planet Hulk?

Considering he had Devil Dinosaur backing him up, I'm pretty sure he stands a decent chance. On top of that, it's not like it's going to be a steel cage death match; he'll have mobility, and the opportunity to utilize his surroundings. When it comes to "who can beat who", it doesn't boil down to "HULK IS TEH STRONK H3 B3AT S3NTRY BRUCE BANNER 2016". It's "How can he win with what he's given?"

That aside, this one is going to be awesome. Battleworld is shaping up to be absolutely gorgeous.

There's no literal way cap can beat Hulk without a ridiculous amp. Even with the help, he doesn't stand a single chance.

Cap is not even on Hulks radar, as badass and awesome as he is. Though I'm sure he'll probably be going against tough but expendable carbon copies.

Yes... all that was missing from street levelers such as Cap winning against Hulk was not fighting Hulk in a steel cage(because that's how they always fight Hulk) and bringing their dinsaour pet with them...

This was the best part of Secret Wars. Man even though it's really different from the story of the original planet hulk it really did a perfect job capturing the spirit of the old planet hulk stuff. I mean it felt almost like he was on Sakaar a lot of the times. God damn I remember thinking marvel was just insanely foolish how they just threw away the planet hulk persona, killed/scattered the warband members, and then even had galactus eat sakaar. It just made me realize how stupid and awful all of the WWH aftermath is that threw away the insanely good work that Pad handed them.
