I really hope he keeps the sidekick, it might be good for our buddy Dardevil. Then again nothing good can ever happen to Matt Murdock for long.

Except the darker color pattern the preview reads exactly like something out of Waid's run...

I don't disagree that as a whole it will be darker, but THIS reads exactly like Waid's run.

I have been waiting for a good point to jump onto a DD series, apparently this looks like an awesome start.

My hopes and expectations are high for this book. Looking forward to it.

@jonny_anonymous: I like the design overall but a full black mask with some kind of facial prosthetic sewed into the front will make it hard for him to convey emotions

His first appearance was in the All New Point One thing they did awhile back but this will be his first full issue.

@mrblonde True but I suspect we will see a lot of Sam out of costume in his everyday life, also I suspect Soule's dialogue and Garney's body language will pick up the slack.

Soule has acknowledged that seeing exactly what happened for Matt to get both his secret identity and job back will be slowly unraveled in the book.

Personally I think it's going to be important that it makes sense. He's got big shoes to fill after Waid giving such a consistently great run.

My excitement for this series has grown. The list of marvel books I read is very short. I'm not a fan of the constant crossovers that force themselves on you. So the few ones I read are the ones that don't seem to get involved in that crap. Hopefully this is one of those titles.

I like it. Best DD looking I've seen since the old Bendis/Maleev run. Whatever people think of Bendis NOW, that was a great run on DD, and Alex Maleev's art absolutely nailed it. Maleev, and then Romita Jr, probably my two favorite artists to pencil DD. This new guy seems to capture some of the same grit. If they could get Jae Lee to knock out a few issues, I'd be real tickled.

X-Men fans try to claim everyone is a Gambit ripoff lol. One tried to convince me Reader from Inhuman was one, despite being blind and having a completely different power set lol.
