DC Comics December 2014 Theme Month Variant Covers Revealed

DC Comics has been doing theme month variants. October is Monster month, November is LEGO covers, and now we're ready to see what they have planned for December.

Darwyn Cooke is an amazing artist. We simply can't get enough of him. Now we'll get to drool and seek out the variant covers with his art on them. That's right, December is Darwyn Cooke Month.

We've been given the exclusive first look at some of the covers you can expect to see.

I need that Catwoman one! Luckily the writing team is different by that issue so I will actually read it rather than just getting the variant.

When I saw the title I was like "Christmas variants" and yep, it's Christmas variants because having an entire month of Darwyn Cooke is like a gift from DC for me.

I don't think any of these covers could be called bad per se. But I think this is a pretty crummy variant theme. The october monsters look fantastic, the selfies were hilarious, but this one, I just don't really get it, we basically get one guy doing all of them, I like my variety. I'll be passing on these.

Wow. I'm not a diehard fan of either variant covers or Darwyn Cooke, but these look pretty cool. I read an enjoyed his DC: The New Frontier #1 - Vol. 1 and DC: The New Frontier #2 - Vol. 2, and the animated adaptation. I haven't followed closely what he's been up to since, though...These do look pretty cool.
