Avengers Vs. X-Men - Act Two: NO MORE AVENGERS!

Have you been reading AVENGERS VS. X-MEN? You must be because the sales are skyrocketing for each issue. It's been a crazy ride after just the first few issues and with the Phoenix Force getting closer and closer, who knows how long the fighting can last.

Apparently not too long. Today Marvel has released a teaser for "Act Two" and it doesn't look too good for Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Whoo. Okay. So, AvX has disappointed me so far. I want to be excited by this teaser. But I feel like the same promise that awaits in this teaser is the same type that led to #1-3 of the series so far... so I'm not quite sure that I know how to feel at this point.

I'm going to allow the... potential of this teaser to act as a promise of deliverance of sort... in quality of story, as well as actually playing out the above message. If they take the stonesy chance and actually play out this concept of "No More Avengers"... I'll stick to it. If not, I'll just take it as a sign that they'd rather instead have "No More TheOptimists" and make my exit.

Seems like a very reductive version of 'Disassembled'

whilst saying that, I think that line is refrencing to "No More Mutants"

I personally love both the X-Men and the Avengers, but at this point I'm on the Avengers' side for one reason: Cyclops has gone too far. He's becoming something really similar to Magneto (except of course the civilian human casualties). I mean you know he's gone quite cray when Wolverine becomes a voice of reason in a situation and makes more sense than the supposed leader of mutantkind...

I hope...TO GOD... this wont be some sort of reboot.

Its Decimation All Over Again. As for reboot, well the Phoenix Force is more then capable of that but I doubt Marvel goes for a full reboot. Some continuity clean up seems likely though.

Like that would work... "No more Avengers" and then the members go back to all the OTHER teams they're a member of, and now you've got a dozen groups gunning for Cyclops and his Emo-Men.

I should really come up with some nerdy comment about what the earth being an X shape would do to people living on the planet but I'll spare you the torture.

I like the X-Men and the Avengers equally but seriously I want to slap some sense a lot of the X-Men over this AvX thing.

Wait, for real?

Isn't the equivalent of "no more Avengers" actually "no more X-Men". It's nothing remotely close to "NO MORE MUTANTS". Avengers aren't a species or race. It's a vountary group made up of humans, mutants, metas, and magicians.

Didn't they just do something similar with the X-Men over the whole "No More Mutants" thing? Why repeat the same plot line again?

IL just get Hickman and Coipels issue, the only good thing about this run

Interesting, interesting. I sided with The Avengers but I will stick around to see how this turns out. The Avengers won't be gone for good. The most three to for years just in time for Avengers 2.

Edit: I would also like to add I actually like X-men more, but on this argument the Avengers have a point.

I know Cyclops was gonna get em back serves em right for beating them down & taking there island... I like the avengers though they cant be dead

Question: How can you call it Avengers vs X-Men if there are no more Avengers?

probably gonna be something similar to Infinity Gountlet - this time all Avengers will die only to get revived in the end which will cost either Hope's or Wanda's life

Pretty much every hero is an avenger. Isn't this just like saying "No More Heroes"? But this whole thing sounds ridiculous. All Cap. and them have to do is say they're not avengers anymore. Then continue kicking the crap out of the x-men.

My guess is that the X-Men beat the Avengers, then Phoenix goes bad and they find themselves alone to stop the PF. There will be no more Avengers to help them and the whole story comes back to bite them in the rear.
