Because the image isn't that wide. It's stretched. Probably got shrunk when uploaded and the person who posted it didn't notice.
I'm pretty sure this is a bug. Just very recently images I have been uploading have randomly gotten blurry after uploading them...
@amendment50: @jb681131: I've noticed that when you post large images, CV automatically turns them blurry/low quality.
