Users can no longer change volume or story titles

This is a pretty big flaw, users need to be able to change the story titles in the Name field of the Issue Details box.

The ability for regular users with live edit privileges (5000+ points) to rename volume titles is also missing.

On a side note regular users should not have the ability to move an issue from one volume to another, this should be a mod or staff only ability.

Agreed. I've been reading a lot of old Moon Knight lately and changing any missing/incorrect details as I go, and yes, I've had to alter a few titles along the way. If you've spent the time earning live edit privileges, I don't think you'd then start abusing them.

@x35: nah, once characters have aliases added they don't need to be edited that often, too many users abuse the alias system so it makes more sense to have people put in requests, I'll be adding a thread for it tomorrow.

@pikahyper: But in the case of people who genuinely want to add an alias or remove an incorrect alias... we can't. I was going to make use of this "great new feature" we've got of being able to add aliases to teams but...oh, I can't. They'll all just stay blank then.

@x35: not uncommon for a few bad apples to ruin it for everyone, just put the requests in.

This is the result of us restricting the editing abilities of names for anyone who isnt mod/staff on all objects.

I'm a bit... worried about opening up issue titles to everyone, after all issues are one of the few wiki objects that show up on the front page.

To be clear, what you want is this:

* All users able to edit Issue Names

* 5000+ points users able to edit Volume names

* Lock down volume changes on issues to mods/staff (this one is easy actually)

No for the first one yes for the last two, might as well make Issue Names a 1k unlock feature.

I second that, it's annoying that I can't change issue titles anymore.

Particularly since the guys who add new issues add them a day before they're out and the issue titles aren't always at hand then.

Plus there's plenty of old comics that have the wrong or no title put in.

Yeah I will be changing this tomorrow probably, will be opening it up to users based off of their wiki points.

I'd say just make both volume and issue names editable by 5000+ users.

Talked with dave about it, Im going to open up issue names to be editable but not Volume names. The main concern is that we don't want to make it easy to mess up search results.

I can work with that.
