My main is Allstarsuperman.

I am able to sign into comicvine. But to keep my name, I have to merge the separate accounts. For some reason I am unable to log into Gamespots Allstarsuperman account. I know for a fact that both accounts have the same email/password. I've tried sending email verifications, but I get nothing.

My Gamespot account was banned a long time ago. So that may be a problem.

If either account needs a name change please change the gamespot one.

Same with me. This is my gamespot account, but my account Petey_Is_Spidey won't migrate. Each time it clicks finish, nothing happens.

Same here, and it was hell making a new Email to just type this. My main Account is Sirfizzwhizz, and my Alt is Sirfizwhiz. Both are of course un usable since I click "finish" and nothing happens.

@cadev1: Same thing with me. My main is Monarch_Chronicle. This alt works (after I had to change its name from Arkbound because apparently Gamespot already has arkbound tho they didnt when I preformed a search of all their users)

Samething is happening to me, I can't migrate my account even through it's telling me that everything is fine (when I push the finish button nothing happens). My main account is black_arrow.

Thanks for the bug reports. For the issue of "pushing finish does nothing", I wonder if a user familiar with the Developer Tools on a browser could take a look at the ajax request it should be firing off. PM me if you dont mind helping out. We will get this fixed ASAP.

@erinys_draconis: Honestly I don't know anymore, it is supposed to be checked regularly but these past few months it has been hit or miss, probably cause only a single person checks it. I just sent a direct message offsite to see if that is still the correct email to use as it might have changed with the new domain url.

@pikahyper: Here's the thing; there's a lot of accounts messed up right now. This happened with virtually no warning and no explanation, and there's a lot of upset users. I don't think it's too much to ask for someone who knows what's going on to provide some information, on whether those accounts are wrecked for good or this is just another series of bugs. A lot of us love this site, but are starting to feel that it's a pretty one-sided relationship, you know what I mean?

And please don't take that as being aimed at you. You've got a pretty thankless task, being the mod for this particular forum, and at least some of us really do appreciate your attempts to help.

@erinys_draconis: oh I'm completely with you, no warning no explanation no help, common sense would tell staff members that people will need help immediately and that there should have been plenty of warning time but common sense is an endangered species in modern times and trust me nobody knows how one-sided it is as I do, I'm CV's battered housewife at this point.

I'm actually not the BR mod anymore, I retired like six months ago but the staff never picked up the slack and since nobody was doing anything I had to step in and at least try to help you all out.

I e-mailed support@comicvine and edgework@comicvine in the same e-mail. I got a reply back from Rorie, who was CC'ing lark.anderson@cbsinteractive.com to help with the "push finish, nothing happens" problem (I'm having that problem on my cbishop account).

It is still the address that shows if you hover over "contact support" on the user merger page where the "finish" button isn't working.

Edit: I'm assuming that the support addy is how Rorie got my e-mail on this.

@ficopedia: @erinys_draconis: ya I confirmed with Rorie, that email is being checked (support@comicvine.com), I think they are just really backed up right now. I have lots of users PMing me about this problem as well and I'm sending them all to that email so the emails are probably piling up plus it is after business hours now so there are probably fewer engineers able to look at user accounts to fix them right now.

@ficopedia: I wouldn't recommend shortcuts at this point, they usually have side effects or unintended consequences, best to just leave it to the engineers to look at, they'll get everyone sorted before long.

I've had my old CV account for 5 years and have changed my email accounts since then. I don't remember my old one.

@gamingpcgod: Sounds like it worked for stegman, but as pikahyper says above, sometimes that kind of shortcut causes weird hiccups with site changes. We're waiting for an answer from edgework, rorie, or someone else in support.
