Looking for a feat or something to help you get your point across in the battle forums!

Here is a list of linked respect threads that contain scans that you can use to help you, Respect threads are not to be made as a way to post full comics, two pages of one comic should be allowed.

Comicvines stance is as follows:

There is no need to upload an entire page. There's this little feature you can use to CROP a panel out. The only time full pages should be uploaded is for the previews, which are approved by the publishers.

Each header for the characters is a link to their page.

Are respect threads still allowed? I thought I remembered hearing something about them being banned.

@The Dark Huntress: I've never heard of the rule...I thought it was just full page scans where banned if they if there was more then 2...

This one is not much of a respect thread. But I do have 50+ scans there all from recent showings.

Does it have to be a respect thread from this site?

I posted this on the battle forum ideas page, but I think a better way to do this would be to use the ones on the characters' forum pages without a thread like this. Then there's no need to update this thread, you can just look at the characters forum and if they have one they have one and if they dont they dont. If this page is just going to link to the forum pages, I think it's more work than is needed. And you're going to get a lot of crap like this:

The problem with respect threads is that users who post them generally don't have a clue what's going on the scans they upload. They see it in their own image, and make ridiculous claims, even though the same scans disapprove it.

@Boobster: This happens in the battle forums already the idea is to give people a resource to use.

@Buckshot: Which then makes it up to the users to add scans, this idea is to make debating more fluid and is on a trail, we can always remove the thread...

Even if you keep the thread it's still up to the users to add scans to the forum pages that you're linking here.

Reserve? I don't think other people should be disallowed to add examples of their power. It's not like only one person can make a capability thread for a character.

I hope not, I do not exactly like going to a site that is constantly trying to open pop-up windows and install add-on’s to my browser (I.G KMC). I would hate to click on a respect link and be brought there, there’s a reason some of us stay off those sites and stick with the good ol vine :)

Can't we just post links to killermovies and stuff, they have much more expansive respect threads.- Never mind, question has been answered.

I would think that battle forum mods could monitor the respect threads and keep them tidy, removing all posts that aren't constructive.

As for linking to other sites, I would say no to that for the most part. Other sites have respect threads but if we're trying to improve an aspect of our site, sending people elsewhere kind of defeats the purpose. I think it would be better to have our capability threads be good enough that people come to us instead of us sending people somewhere else. That's not to say we can't use those threads though. I think it would be a good idea to look through the respect threads on other sites to grab images and then put them here. What I have in mind isn't just copying respect threads, but a lot of threads on other sites are disorganized and cluttered with random posts. Since the images don't belong to the creators of the thread I don't see a problem with taking them and reorganizing them here. I'm sure this sounds a little iffy though so we can talk about it. Now, there are some really good respect threads (two of the best I've seen have been for Silver Surfer and Spider-Man) that are just so well done that you couldn't improve on them if you tried, and for those, linking might be a good idea, but those threads are a tiny minority. Give me some responses to this idea.

I think I might create a capability thread just as an example since I'm talking about them. The only question is if I'll do Majestic or jack Hawksmoor first. Probably hawksmoor since i lost a lot of my majestic images.
