zoom vs silver surfer

Norrin Radd. He has to much going for him to lose to a one trick pony, even if it is one hell of a trick. Zoom is the most powerful one trick pony in comics, but he isn't beating Norrin.

Gonna depend on the rules.

In character/out of character, where they fight and how close they start will make all the difference.

Out of character, Zoom'll go easy and may end up losing.  If Surfer starts high enough above the highest landmark, he can be out of Zoom's range and take him down via telepathy.

Otherwise, Zoom is certainly faster than the Surfer and he certainly hits hard enough to take him down before he can react.

Surfer is faster, and what to you mean by 'far and away faster'? Surfer plays with time and travels from one side of the universe to the other in a blink, I don't think your definition of far away faster matters much to Surfer.

Seriously, Surfer can use the power cosmic to go AS FAST AS HE WANTS.....or make him as strong as he wants....he can change solid objects to dust/liqued/gas with just a simple thought...he can feel energy on the other side of the universe...sorry, zoom's fast but surfer should be able to keep up and he certainly doesnt have surfers package of power.

By warping.  Surfer can't go faster than light while on earth.  It'd be physically impossible.If these time manipulating powers actually exist (I was just gonna assume they do but after being challenged, none of the Surfer supporters could post a scan of him ever using them), Surfer still has to activate them.Zoom on the other hand, is always using his powers and can travel several times faster than light without warping because he's powered by time.But let it not be said that I won't listen to reason.  If Surfer is faster, prove it. ;-)"

Both.  You can't move faster than light because your mass would become infinite and motion becomes impossible.

Comic characters break this rule all the time with the speedforce and warping.  Zoom breaks it by using time.  As far as I can tell, Surfer cannot.

The marvel page also lists Dazzler as having the same energy level as the Silver Surfer.  Hell, Colossus has the same energy level rating as the both of them and he doesn't even have energy powers!  The site is incredibly flawed no matter how you look at it.  Its a flipping wiki.  I could go change that page right now.

I'm not gonna go to another thread to find scans.  If Surfer is really indestructible or faster than Zoom, why doesn't somebody post scans of it here, where it is relevant.

Zoom's durability doesn't really factor into it because he's not gonna get hit.  There's no question that Surfer could take him out very quickly if it wasn't for the fact that Surfer is gonna be dead less than a nanosecond into the fight.

You've been ignoring scans. Surfer moves faster than a nano second, he's also got a sense that alerts him to weakness and dangers around him. Zoom has been hit before so what's to stop one of the smartest most intelligent guys in Marvel from doing it again. Surfer has a whole list of physical powers as long as a telephone directory, he can just turn the battle site to glass. A guy like Superman might survive the first big hit like this but what's Zoom going to do? It's time to admit Zoom loses some battles or else the vine has gone way over the edge.

As for getting hit, Zoom only gets hit because he isn't trying to win.  Half the time, he's trying to get the hero to KILL him.  You can't get somebody to kill you by not getting hit.

Surfer has full control over the laws of physics and can manipulate any energy and any matter. He's even gone above this and displayed feats of time manipulation and feats as a reality warper
