It’s kind of a stalemate because while Barragan is ultimately more impressive, Zeref is literally immortal. He can’t die.

@clorox92: I mean he physically hasn’t aged in 400 years. His curse says it make him immortal and based off the fact that he hasn’t actually aged, I believe it’s safe to assume that He can’t be aged.

It’s kind of unfortunate Fairy tail ended the way he did, because based off how hype and knowledgeable Zeref was he should have a plethora of different spells, some of which theoretically could bypass Barragan like Hachi did. Unfortunately Mashima ultimately never delivered really on the Zeref hype

Barragan's aging abillity is a nonfactor since Zeref is immortal. However, whenever someone in Bleach attacks you, they're not only attacking your body but your soul as well. Zeref didn't have any resistance to soul manipulation as far as I remember and since Barragan is much faster, he should win here.

@jko1: is that really the case though. Like when fighting other soul beings, yes they are attacking the soul because that’s what they’re physically fighting against, but when they fight humans like Uryu or the fullbringers damage is really only being done to their physical body
