I'm not sure how close the movie follows the comics, but Gordon also beat four younger, bulky thugs armed with baseball bats, only going down when a fifth thug whom he didn't know was there blindsided him. Then he beat the Green Beret Flass after giving him a baseball bat and after taking a beating that should've put any other man in the hospital or worse. No fighter in the real world has this level of skill. This is fictional, comic book, physically impossible level of skilled.
That punk in the video happened before the institution of the Modern Army Combatives Program. Before that soldiers (including SF) were taught to slap knives out of people's hands in order to disarm them and other ridiculous means of fighting. MACP brought actual martial arts to the Army.
