This fight is made of 3 Rounds each with 3 lvls of difficulty depending on the bears species

R1

Random encounter in a forest

U have acess to a baseball bat and body armor

First lvl You vs Black Near

Second lvl you vs Grizzly

Third lvl You vs Polar Beat

R2

Fight takes place in Downtown NYC

U have prior knowledge

U have access To the same gear in R1

First lvl You vs Black bear

Second lvl you vs Grizzly

Third lvl You vs Polar Bear

R3

Fight takes place in a forest

U have 3 hours of prep and 1000$ within a gun shop

Bear is extremely pissed off and going for the kill

First lvl You vs Black

Second lvl you vs Grizzly

Third lvl You vs Polar Bear

Bonus lvl You vs a kodiak

R1) Spite against me.

R2) I run or call the police.

R3) I buy a gun than call the police.

In round one I win the first in one shot; get completely crushed in the second and third.

Round two is the same as round one.

Round three I win in a stomp.

R1. Spite.

R2. Spite.

R3. I win.

Bears can and have been fought off by Bare Handed humans. Body Armor will only do so much but the Bat is a big boon.

Polar Bear is simply to big and strong most rounds. Black bears attacks are pretty rare to begin with and have smaller claws than Brown Bears, they are more likely to run away in the first place. Grizzly's are scary but they aren't even the biggest brown bear, if I get in a good swing at its face or head it will go down. The gun Round, you can get a pretty decent caliber rifle for about 1000 dollars, even with only 1 or 2 clips all the bears should go down. The Polar bear might keep going with it's charge and still kill me.

That moment when people genuinely believe they possess any chance whatsoever against a Bear.

Oh tell me almighty transhumans, what have you ever done in your life that allows you to go toe-to-toe against a fully grown healthy bear?

Nobody stands a chance of winning rounds 1 and 2. Most people can win round 3.

Round 1 & 2 is immediate death for me.

Round 3 is a more interesting match, with the right weapons it'd be possible to seriously wound or kill it. Problem is I get only one shot cause it's pissed off. in this scenario maybe I could kill the polar bear

If i can take them on the ground, with my ju-jitsu experience and skills i can choke them out or do an armbar and break their paws

Kodiak is only marginally smaller than a Polar Bear as far as I know so Same as what ever i said for the Polar bear.

I have faith in his ju-jitsu experience and skills.

This should be cake for such an experienced martial artist.

3 scenarios:

1: You're on top of the bear, Bear bites your face off.

2: You're on the bears back, Bear crushes you with sheer weight

3: You're to the side of the bear, bear rolls on top of you and crushes you with sheer weight.

I get trouble every time againts average Dog non Rottweiler/Pit Bull Let alone a Bear? I gets murdered every rounds maybe with the exception for the last round but i don't think i can use a gun.

R1 - I possibly take down the Black Bear. The other 2 kill me or at least severely maul me (none of us on Comic Vine are beating down a Grizzly Bear or a Polar Bear with a freaking bat).

R2 - Almost exactly the same as Round 1, but the Black Bear almost certainly goes down.

R3 - I could take down a Black Bear with a decent handgun and with decent ammo. The Grizzly Bear and the Polar Bear will require either a high caliber rifle, or a high velocity rifle with good penetrating ammo. The Kodiak is a beefy mofo... not sure I can get my hands on something at my local gun store with enough penetrating power to stop a Kodiak before it reaches me and mauls me to death.

*side note* Switch out the baseball bat with a fireman's axe, and I stand a good chance at killing the Black Bear and the Grizzly in both of the first 2 Rounds, and possibly even the Polar Bear (low probability).

In the woods I use the bat and a tree to keep between me and the black bear until it looses interest. For the other two I just climb a tree and wait it out anyone who thinks a bat will save you is foolishness.

In the city I simply run into a mall is r building the bears will be distracted I get away if I try to fight I'm dead ad is anyone else a bat will only piss a bear off.

With a gun id still try the latter and only use the gun as a last resort.

Round 1 and 2 are spite literally any animal over 100 lbs can rip out the throat of any human.

Round 3 I buy a shotgun and fill the bear with lead.

That isn't true. An athletic man who knows how to fight is just about as dangerous most other animals that weighs the same amount as him. The biggest disadvantage humans have is we don't have sharp claws. A 150 lb human with a knife (that knows how to use it) would be more deadly than any animal near that weight. And we get a baseball bat plus body armor here. A 200 lb black bear is duable, a 600lb grizzly isn't.

Bear, yes. However he said any animal over 100 lbs though. A dog, wolf, heyena, even a small cougar, could all possibly go down to an athletic adult man. Not saying they would win a majority, but an athletic adult man who is fighting for his life would go down easy to a l00lb animal.

Single bears beat a pack of lions. Humans get sliced and diced.

@xxdeathmakerxx: How far away does the bear start? I doubt a bear can take a full clip of shotgun shots. The closer it gets the more pellets hit it.

Humans are weaker than most animals pound per pound a chimp our closest relative who are shorter and weigh less absolutely maul people. Even a prey species like deer can stomp humans

All the skill in world won't save you when your opponent easily out muscles you. All it takes is one hit and a human will bleed out in minutes while a human has to get dozens of stabs in right places to even have a chance to take out an even slightly large animal

You can hit a bear all day long with a baseball bat it won't do you any good. One swipe from a bear and you'll see your guts spill out.

Not with a shotgun. Contrary to the popular depiction in video games shotguns do not lose their effectiveness after a few feet. Shooting a wide guarantees some of the pellets will and a bear is a big target so that means that I can't miss

@alextheboss: Right right. I didn't see that someone mentioned any other animal except a bear. Bears can become truly aggressive and they can go all out on humans. I'm pretty sure a Polar Bear would have you for supper if you need with him.
