You vs 1 Alien Xenomorph

You get 24 hours prep, no firearms but everything else is still on the table, can you survive/kill the alien?

I mean if the alien is going to be invading my area, I can probably set up traps, get as much throwing knives, matches, gasoline, make as many homemade explosives as I possibly can. Prolly also get a few 12 ft poles with sharp metal points of some kind. Anything that can be of use to keep myself a good distance away from the xenomorph. I might need a couple weeks though to set everything up and get the resources I need. 24 hours ain't going to cut it.

Arnold was a soldier and figured out the vision weakness and just got a lucky trap in. Xenomorphs have no sense of honor and only want to kill or prolong the species not to mention their immense size and speed, acidic blood , and spear like tail

I use that 24 hours of prep to plan my escape. Or try to find a hiding spot where I'd die of dehydration or hunger first. Even then, I'd probaby die by Xenomorph.

24 hours? Easy.

They really hate fire. Gas stations on every corner. Fairly certain you could research homemade claymores and the like fairly easily, and attain the neccessary materials well within that time limit. You might be on a terrorist watch list after, but you'll survive.

Absolutely not. Hoping to die a QUICK death as those Xenomorphs are literally the stuff of my nightmares. F#*k, I would likely shoot myself if by some miracle my heart didn't explode from fear upon first sight. Imagine not dying, only to wake up stuck in goo waiting for a face hugger to pounce on you!?

@tenguswordsman: Is this one of them internet moments where someone just says thing to be that internet guy...? The thing has eye sockets, its reasonable to conclude that eyes fit into said socket.. Right!!? I mean I dont actually see a shoulder, a brain, does it have theses things?

@g_race: WTH would it have eyes, when in the Image above Big Chap (the OG Alien) clearly has no eyes, and it is a completed model. The eye sockets are a redundant feature of Xenomorphs that most likely comes from the fact that a Xenomorph abosorbs and copies some DNA of the host, but by far not to the extend You are suggesting. Plus, this human-like skull is seen only on the OG Alien, and all other incarnations have no Eye sockets at all...
