Yoda and Luke Skywalker vs Darth Plagueis and Sidious

I'm aware this battle has been done before, but I feel having Sidious at his peak, and Grandmaster Luke makes the other combatants contributions lesser. So here it goes

Yoda and Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker has feats up to and including Dark empire.

ROTS Yoda.

Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious

ROTS Sidious.

Plagueis at his peak.

Rules

Assume perfect team synergy.

EU feats are allowed.

Standard Gear and Morals

Win by Death, KO, Incap or Submission.

Round 1

No offensive force powers.

Round 2

Offensive force powers are allowed.

Arena

Korriban Dueling roof.......

Start 50 ft away visible.

Who wins and why?

I almost feel like this comes down to Luke and Sidious.. or at least how good Luke is at the point of Dark Empire. Yoda and Plagueis are pretty close, while Sidious is now ahead of both of them. I just don't know enough about Luke at this point to make a call on who wins.

@laflux: Seems like a pretty good fight, though. A rare case of being able to balance high-tier Star Wars characters.

@laflux: Good, fight and as swords has said, i'd agree, i mean i still think luke could win and give yoda the edge in victory, but it all depends on luke really. If he i just see sidious besting yoda, even if yoda won against plagueis

Team 1 wins after a pretty good fight. Honestly, when dealing with the top-tiers, it's usually fair (I would, however, side with the Sith if it were Caedus instead of Plagueis).

Honestly, I think it comes down to Yoda vs Plagueis, because that fight might end sooner, regardless of which one wins - my money is on Yoda, though.

Luke vs Palpatine is going to be the longest and most hard-fought battle, allowing either Yoda or Plagueis to tip the scale that much to make the fight favorable to the other side.

I'm going to go against the grain and take team two. While I do think Yoda can beat Plagueis - I think ROTS Palpatine is more powerful then Luke Skywalker is.

That being said, I think this thread has much discussion value, and , hopefully, it will generate a good one.

@dccomicsrule2011: RotS Sidious may or may not be more powerful than Luke. I'm currently doing my tourney so you and me will both have to wait for me to elucidate on this.

True. I'm still digging for Kyp feats, I've found interesting ones though. Durron is more powerful then I first thought.

Team 2 takes it. I think Yoda would be down after a good fight with Plagueis. why ? because at TPM Plagueis was supposedly stronger than Sidious. (Luceno even said so in his interview). And at some point in the book, Sidious feels he and his master are more powerful than the best in the Jedi order. Moreover, supposing Plagueis is around till ROTS, as Sidious powers increased by then, I am damn sure Plagueis powers would increase. Also as in the novel, Plagueis's quest was beyond the mortal world domination, it was the domination of the force itself. I am not bowing to my own pressure to give it to my 2 fav characters Yoda and Luke. Logically its Sidious and Plagueis.

Yoda and Luke take this (both rounds). If prep was allowed though, I think either Sidious or Plagueis could solo.

As for the fight, ehhh. I'm not sure to be honest. I'm having difficulty on where exactly to rank DE Luke as some of his feats seem kinda contradictory during and after the series. E.I getting wrecked by Palpatine in two pages, and later obliterating him in a single page. Afterwards - he was stated to redouble in power during the JAT, yet Desann got the better of him during their brief duel, and knocked him on his ass, time after time; and actively, advised for everyone, including himself to avoid Desann after he received a massive power upgrade via the Valley of the Jedi ----because he may be too much for them to handle.

Plagueis could probably best Luke or is at least comparable in skill/power enough for to seriously press him long enough for the Emperor to kill Yoda.

Round 1 is clearly in favor of Team 1, with Plagueis being a weak link, with Yoda and Sidious being equals and Luke not being far behind them.

Round 2 is probably a could go either way scenario. Though I'd back Team 1 more often than not.

I'll take the flak for this one but........ Legends Yoda > DE Luke, and with that being said could go either way but im leaning towards jedi aswell. Also Yoda isn't getting cornered by lightning with space available, im giving him a smidgen of a majority against the emperor.

Whether or not Plagieus can use Midiclorian manipulation mid battle might tip the scales. Otherwise they split.

DE Luke > ROTS Sheev and Yoda > Plagueis. Pretty clear cut here.

Team Sith wins.

Team jedi with Luke as MVP if this is EoDE Luke.

Plagueis will overwhelm Luke before Yoda overwhelms Sidious. Team 2, especially considering that this takes place on a DS nexus.

IIRC DE Luke surpassed Yoda and Plagueis is weaker than everyone here so Team 1.

Wow, how have I never run across this one. Great battle, DE Luke certainly helps Jedi here. Plagueis is the weak link. Id lean towards jedi for a majority

Sith Team will destroys blonde Mary Sue and little green dwarf.

If both Luke and Yoda are at full potential, then they stomp. If they are the level they were in ESB, then Team 2 stomps.
