Worthy Cap vs Awakened Thor
Thor. He can use cap's shield against him and also amplify the damage done by the shield as shown in the gif.
@rbt: Thor doesn't have Mjolnir.
Thor wins. Even if he doesn’t just take the hammer back, his stats are better and he isn’t too out skilled.
All father Thor 2 hammers >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Storm breaker Thor >>>> Ragnorak Thor >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> phase 1 Thor.
Asgardian warriors really have some skills as shown from the Bor flashback. In the same film, Thor took out several of them h2h without getting tagged, and he didn't even feel like fighting them. I don't know where this huge skill gap myth is coming from. If they don't show a godlike character get tagged every now and then it's a recipe for disaster. To avoid questions like why doesn't Thor just pulverize the enemies if he has done ABC before...you make a character seem vulnerable. Vulnerable characters are in every way better.

Thor's flight advantage could be a major advantage.
Thor couldn't fly at the end of Ragnarok
@kevd4wg: @authentical: Yeah, I was thinking of IW Thor with Stormbreaker.
Thor post Ragnarok is completely above Thor in AoU who is above worthy cap. Thor has this in the bag.
I'm gonna assume Cap keeps the hammer (not that Thor necessarily has more command over it than Cap based on how they traded hammers). Thor actually can lose this depending on how he chooses to fight. His lightning punches would be damaging due to force generated, but his lightning is useless against Cap. Cap doesn't rely on lightning that much and goes for cqc. Thor is indeed skilled, but is not as good as Cap. Ragnarok Thor is ab upgrade for Thor in terms of lightning powers, but Cap can literally ignore most of the upgrade besides charged punches. The shield and hammer give him better defense and comparable striking. It can go either way imo.
It really comes down to match-up. For opponents with no lightning immunity like Hulk, the upgrade matters a whole lot more. Against Cap, it won't slow him down unless he takes a direct charged punch to the face. But that's what the shield is for. Even if Thor has swords, that doesn't mean he can just cut Cap down. Thanos had better reach, comparable skill, and a much stronger blade and Cap avoided direct hits (he was only grazed twice). Really, Thor didn't do anything too impressive with swords.
If Thor can steal Mjolnir and had higher command over it, he has the edge. It can go either way if their command is equal or Thor doesn't get Mjolnir back. Worthy Cap has better range that will actually matter (solid energy resistant weapons).
@rbt: Fair.
@hulk_like_fire: I guess you could make the case of broken power scalings. Seeing as how captain america could survive punches from Thanos even though Thanos could murk Hulk
Agree but adding to what you've said.. Thor wasn't shown to do anything crazy with swords cuz that's more on the representation in the film. If he's not holding back against Hulk, with his agility he could easily dance around him and cut him up a bit if those were proper asgardian swords.
If it means anything, asgardian soldiers were shown to be pretty skilled with swords and fighting in general against dark elves and he floored several of them without getting tagged, in the same film.
Lightning still has the kinetic force so even if it doesn't burn cap it could still move him back like Thanos I assume and interrupt his combos etc. But the advantage here is that it doesn't have to be telegraphed like how cap does with Mjolnir. It's almost instant, like the 3 bolts he called down at the same time.
Another advantage for Thor is he can use lightning TK to ragdoll cap, he's got a few advantages here if he knows it.
Isn't worthy cap getting Thor's stats ?
So he essentially IS Thor with less lighting but better combat skill (at least h2h).
I would say either way, but favoring the "I can do this all day" boy xD
