What's standard gear for Buck?
Civil War gear.
No mirakuru? What stops Buck from 2-shotting?
Did you watch last night's episode?
So, what happened?
So, what happened?
Some feat's for his speed and durability and that's it from what I know.

Could the same not be said for Slade considering he carries a sword?
I still need to see the last two episodes Arrow, but unless he does something really impressive I don't see how Slade can win.
All that shows is another reason why Bucky would win, spade engaged a lot of them in melee where he would be decimated vs Bucky
@foxerdes: Indeed everything you said was spot on, I've given certain characters wins over other just because of a weapon's advantage.
This isn't fair. Bucky absolutely annihilates.
They start a fair distance apart. Slade is a good shot, Bucky is a "terrible" shot, Slade is bulletproof, Bucky is not bulletproof.
Bucky has the stats when it comes down to h2h combat, but Slade has a sword which is a really good counter.
This is by all means a fair fight, one I think Slade has the advantage in.
Slade... actually didn't really impress me that much in that fight, though it was cool.
But he bullet timed.
Stopped watching Arrow after Dig took over so I’m not current with this season. But if that video is all Slade has done then he still loses. Having a sword isn’t a game changer here when Bucky can just as easily block or catch the sword with his mechanical arm. Bucky also massively outstats Slade with his mechanical arm so I see no reason why he can’t block/catch sword and just overpower Slade.

The bit with the sword? I don't think that was bullet-timing, he just raised his arm and sword and one happened to hit the sword, another hit his arm, some hit his shoulder and chest. Unless I missed another time. And honestly, the overall performance just didn't really impress me in terms of showcasing his skill, tactics and actual combat speed.

Of course he isn't Neo so he isn't reacting to every bullet, but this was a clear bullet timing.

Simultaneously he's getting hit on the shoulder though, it just seemed like he raised his sword and it stopped one out of half a dozen bullets that were coming at him simply because it was in its path. Though, actually, maybe he's supposed to be blocking that one specifically because it's coming at his face whereas he knows the ones on his body are basically harmless. You might be right.
@the_fallen_lord: Let's be honest, Bucky isn't an amazing shot. His accuracy is less than impressive from what I remember.
@thesuperor: How’s Bucky a terrible shot?
@thesuperor: How’s Bucky a terrible shot?
It's an over exaggeration. He isn't really a good shot.
@rbt: How about you slow that GIF down so that everyone can clearly see that he moved the sword after the shot was fired?
@rogueshadow: He actually did it one more time. Stopping a bullet coming for his face. He was letting all the other bullets hit him.
The slowed down version
@rbt: How about you slow that GIF down so that everyone can clearly see that he moved the sword after the shot was fired?
I know. That's kind of the point..
@rbt: Yeah, it seems legit then. The fact that he can so quickly identify which are coming at his face and block those specifically is also quite impressive. Are the Jackals supposed to be an elite force? I'm gonna have to catch up.

It's okay. I get it.

They are supposed to be "best at being worst".
Its well shot, but hardly a game changer. Bucky still takes him rather easily. At best Slade got similiar reflexes and is far weaker on any other stat. We've seen Bucky devastate groups of armed opponents in tactical gear way more easily, even when he did not try to kill people.
Bucky wins, he is overall physical superior and his metal arm gives up an extra amount of strength. Slade did block some bullets but Bucky has done the same with his arm in civil war.
As for skill they are pretty close, even if Slade is a bit superior, bucky’s physical advantage gives him the win.
Bucky still smacks him around. People act like having a sword makes you invincible, when we’ve seen Bucky gain the upperhand on opponents with superior weapons.
@rbt: just saw it. Not so sure about my response now.
If you have to slow a scene down to make it out, it's not bullet-timing. Bucky blocked gunfire with his arm without getting shot five times in the chest, which is a better feat in my opinion. Also, I'm not overly impressed by the hallway fight in general, since there didn't appear to be anything special about those he was killing and he was actually being overwhelmed at certain points. I don't really have an opinion who wins, but yea.

To be fair these guys were called the Jackels and Oliver said they were apparently "the best of the worst". And Oliver pretty much confirmed Slade's out of practice.
@jashro44: I don't really know what "the best of the worst" even means, but fair enough I suppose. Still, I heavily disagree with Slade somehow stomping after the hallway fight.
