Wing Zero vs. Evangelion unit 01

i think Wing zero would win because he can fly and his buster rifle sure does many damage to a big sitting duck like eva unit 01 :P

Firstly, no AT. Okay Some damage will be done surely. But as for Evangelion unit one not being able to fly? You're sorely mistaken, please watch "end of evangelion" and unless you're bias because you think that wing zero is just cooler, you'll agree it will end something like this. Note the size difference, if you disagree with the size difference watch both series one more time.

No AT field... But the EVA 01 still having Berserk, if Shinji has enough willpower he would do it.

As far as "canon" as it gets (Super Robot Wars which is extremely accurate in it's depictions of charas and mechs in relation to each other as long as they aren't enemy characters), Wing Zero > Unit 1. AT field is a non-issue even if you gave it to unit 1 as buster rifle overpowers AT field easily. Eva 01 only has the pellet gun as it's air attack which is completely dodgable by any of the Wing pilots except for perhaps Quatre . Size difference isn't that bad. Wing Zero is much faster and has much better pilots. Unit 01 doesn't have the speed or dexterity to catch or keep up without berserk mode and that's without Zero system activated (essentially making standard pilots that can operate the system into Newtypes).

In the Japanese mecha world, Eva is more or less a tank class (damage absorbtion, turtle) than a real powerhouse.

What exactly are some of Wing Zero's feats? As even without an AT field Evas are near unstoppable beasts with about 12 thousand layers of fortified armour and in rebuild of evangelion Eva unit 01 can enter "God mode", even much more powerful than when in "berserker mode".

Guh, I got like halfway through Evangelion and couldn't finish it. Always figured Gundams had way more firepower than the Evas, but what do I know?

wing zero quite easily gundanium> unit 1 armor, buster rifle> AT field, Zero system> berserk mode, add to that a better pilot, mobility, and beam weaponry it might be a stomp

Agreed other than being an awesome film it has Asuka showing exactly what an Eva is capable of even when depending solely on an internal battery supply, alot of destruction can be done within 5 mins. BTW, what weaponary (if any) are both equipped with? The standard equipment for an Eva is a rifle and a prog. knive, but I think Thunder Spear should be included to make things interesting.

Without an AT field the Eva is useless. Its not tagging WZ or resisting a buster shot. WZ via buster speed blitz.

With an AT field, WZ is screwed. Buster cannon was approximately city level (endless waltz building busting contradicts colony busting), and the AT field can easily tank point blank nukes, or be whipped about for ranged damage. Its basically invincible here.

However, that's not the case. WZ is too fast and no AT field makes this an obvious spite

However an AT field has easily been pierced by an anti matter rifle.. Buster could somehow pierce an AT field before draining of power.

Eva stomps with or without AT field. Wing Zero's gun is overrated, it struggled to break through a bunker and had to shoot it 3 times within like a few inches just to blow it up.

Nothing else save maybe its saber is even going to do anything to EVA. Flying is pointless if you can't hurt him

Which at best puts 1 buster shot at 1 nuke (multiple nuke resistant, multiple blasts to break it).

The most powerful angel (that Shinji ends up shitting on) in the movie took 9 N2 missiles to the face and didnt even get scratched. I forget his name.

Hell even Sachiel the weakest Angel survived an N2 mine.

I'm thinking Wing Zero. Eva 01 is bigger but Heero isn't going to let Eva grab him or throw his weight on W0. Heero will eventually put one in Eva's head, heart or cockpit while W0 doesn't have those weak points

You Gundam guys are thinking "no cable, no power" but Unit-01 ate Zeruel and obtained its S2 Engine. That gives him unlimited power. Also, he can place AT Fields one after another. Not even mentioning the God Mode. Unit-01 now has unlimited power. Nothing can stop it.

In a melee slugfest, EVA-001 would win because of larger size and being stronger.

Problem is, it's never going to get into melee because Wing Gundam is just going to annihilate it from kilometres away with a fully powered Buster Rifle shot, which could destroy entire space colonies. And if stuff has to go close range, the Wing Gundam has a Beam Sword that can match that of Gundam Epyon, which is also capable of slashing open entire space colonies.

Also, the firearms EVAs use are basically airsoft pellets compared to Gundanium armor.

Wing Zero but it would take a long time to punch through EVA's armor. If EVA-001 gets a hold of Wing Zero though it eats Wing Zero. So I say maybe 7/10 for Wing Zero. All I know for sure is that Shinji will be crying at the end.
