Whos faster Flash or Silver Surfer?

Silver Surfer not using hyperspace...who would win a straight up race? My money is on flash.

And race as in Silver Surfer can fly?

Flash, and this is why. Once the gun is pulled signalling to start the race, the flash will react first and take off at full speed, by the time surfer reacts he will have to cover so much distance that was lost due to reacting slower

So what will happen is the flash will finish the race before surfer can cover the lost distance to reacting slower, even if surfer is faster (not saying he is) depending on the distance of the race the flash wins unless it's across the universe

IIRC Silver Surfer flew 500,000 light-years in a couple of seconds. This was his flight speed of course, but that alone should surpass Flash in a race, unless I'm mistaken.

Also in my point above I mentioned how the flash will be the first of the two to start running once the race starts giving him an effective "head start" if you will, since he has better reaction time by far

Was that in Infinity Gauntlet, or has that happened more than once?

When Surfer can

-Beat instant teleportation

-Have a casual non amp feat of 12 trillion times c.

-Be so fast he can travel through time under his own speed, and break the time barrier.

- have lower than attosecond level perception of time.

- can vibrate so fast he can side step entire distances by just inter dimensional jump.

- when absorbed his full power to become nigh omnipresent.

Then Surfer can be compared to the Flash,

Flash used the speed of many people to do that feat. But I still do think Flash>Silver Surfer in speed. Reaction timing is also a big factor.

This doesn't make any sense, lol. If Flash is faster on Earth, then technically he should be faster in space.

I don't recall Flash being able to teleport.

Seriously though, I say Flash because of the effects his speed does to the universe, only if DC hasn't put a number on how fast that needs to be. I'm pretty sure it's incalculable. I don't care to actually check. If I'm correct, SS has only done something like that once.

Silver Surfer should take it. The speed force is laughable compared to the Cosmic Powers. Two completely different level. Flash doesn't always have to win.

Surfer has his speed anywhere he goes, even in crossover. The same can't be said for Flash. So I say Surfer.

In the scan you show, multiple actually, it states that surfer opens up a black hole/wormhole. Surfer doesn't really travel that far for the most part, he simply uses wormholes and blackholes to create short cuts. Flash doesn't need such things to travel that distance in short times.

Silver surfer is faster in travel, which is part of his job, the flash has faster reaction time.

Some of the other scans were too small to read. the last two you posted didn't really have a specific distance said.

Have you actually read that comic? Flash had to speed steal literally everybody on the planet.

Wally was in constant communication with Linda who arranged to have every last human on earth run constantly. Wally doesn't have the headset to talk to her, nor does he have the amount of time to arrange for that.

Really? Krakkl was near his speed, actually he was faster. This was during The Human Race. Krakkl told Wally to "add his speed to his own" and even then he didn't want to do it. He hasn't used speed steal on Superman in a race or Thawne or even the other Flash's...he only uses speed steal in a battle. Give me one scan in characterwhere Wally uses speed steal during a race where the earth was not at threat.
