besides PR Beyonder and Omnipotent tiers, who's a hard counter to Molecule Man?
would someone like Time Trapper be a counter to him, with his causality/time manip powers?

Mxy.
Mxy.
Sentry
No. There is a reason the Living Tribunal and all the Abstracts stood helpless against Beyonder and beseeched MM to help.
Can’t any reality warper do it?
@green_skaar: Why didn’t they use an attack that pasts all defenses or an attack that will always hit and can’t be stopped because it doesn’t have molecules, that also can’t be healed? It seems like molecule man is very restricted compared to reality warpers.
Despite his moniker and power set, molecules seems to be a catch all in Marvel, and his battles with Beyonder effected all time/space/dimensions. Again even the Abstracts and multi-dimensional beings (LT) pale to his power.

@kidolio: Molecules man powers are a lot deeper then that. "Molecule Man" is just a name. His control is beyond subatomic...able to manipulate matter and energy on a deeper then quantumn level.
He has no hard counter outside of flat out reality manip.
"I really should be called quark man, or muon man"
@green_skaar: Again why didn’t they just use a non physical attack or anything that doesn’t have molecules, it’s seems like a such a simple solution. They should just make a new concepts on the fly if they’re true reality warpers.
As@paytience pointed out as well, his abilities are simply beyond molecules, despite his name. It's well understood he's more powerful than the IG which contains power over reality, time, mind, things you wouldn't associate with molecules, but MM is still >>>> IG.

Molecule man > Marvels abstracts.
@standardized: But why? It doesn’t make much sense, sure he has more raw power but the abstracts should be able to come up with any hax they want on the fly if they’re reality warpers.
Everyone says Mxy, but there are even bigger threats like Lucifer, Micheal, The Endless, The Monitors. Maybe the One Below All when he gets more feats.
@paytience: No such thing of what you’re gonna have to be more specific.
@green_skaar: So then he doesn’t have molecule manipulation then? I’m just gonna call him a reality warper like everyone else I call a reality warper.
@paytience: I've seen some threads with polls where the majority voted he IS a reality warper.
Moleculeless Man
Moleculeless Man
Participating in Multiverse debates is a fallacy, remember?
@paytience: if he wasn’t a reality warper then he should lose to a reality warper assuming he doesn’t surprise attack one.

Yes if the reality warper is multiversal+
@kidolio: @standardized: It's like this...Molecule Man controls and manipulates the fundamental building blocks of matter/reality. He controls energy in rhe smallest and deepest forms. However, he cannot change the rules. An electron does what it does, muon do wha tthey do. A reality warper can chage the function amd structure of those things. 1 + 1 = fish now.
But Molecule Man will still maintain of the energies that build that reality.
@kidolio: he isn't a reality warper. There was a discussion thread on it. Look it up. You're literally in a thread debating a character and you know nothing about them.

it seems most people think he is a reality warper

@immoralimmortal: most people are wrong.
Omega level telepaths are hard counters
High level magic like doctor doom or strange or Loki
Reality warper like Franklin Richards

Any mentalist worth its weight in fertilizer. Inside, MM is a simple-minded weakling. Heck, even a non-mentalist but good mental manipulator like dr Carla Sofen can put him down without even using powers.
Characters like Mxy and MM are cartoonesque in nature and won't survive a more mature setting.
Yhwach
@standardized: Still seems like he’ll lose to a reality warper on the simple basis that his powers aren’t as versatile and reality warpers can just make up rules. If molecule man wasn’t a reality warper how did he ever fight the beyonder? If what paytience said was true then that means he’s limited in versatility compared to any reality warper, who could just make it so they cant be hit by his powers, then hit him with an ability that kills him.
