This is NOT just a fight. This is merely a contest of physical strength.

R1: Post Crisis Superman vs. Thor

R2: New 52 Superman vs Thor

R3-4: Same as above, but Thor has his Belt of Strength.

If it's a strictly physical strength contest, then Thor isn't winning.

If it's a battle, Thor would win due to magic.

Superman doesn't have any feats as good as his arm wrestle with Hercules tbh. New52 included.

By pure strength Superman is probably stronger. He only loses 3 because the belt gives Thor a decent amp.

Isn't the planet bench-pressing feat for N52 Supes comparable to the Thor and Herc feat?

I'm pretty sure holding up the weight of a planet for 5 nonstop days, while barley breaking a sweat puts Supes above Thor. There's always the Brainiac ship (large planet level) feat too if he needs.

Post Crisis Superman has a tougher time, he's probably somewhat weaker than Jew 52 Superman.

I am pretty sure New52 has better strength feats than that.

Honestly not at all. Knocking a planet out of Orbit is so far above benchpressing a planet it's laughable. Especially since while he did it for 5 days, the Thor comic implies he could do it for even centuries

The Braniac Feat is honestly the only arguable one and

  1. It was a shared feat
  2. Was mostly hollow(it's a ship)
  3. and they didn't even lift it iirc, just moved it while falling

You could also make the argument it's not consistent.

Yeah, I also almost forgot about that feat. That was one of Thor's best lifting strength feats. I don't think it's an outlier either, because atleast it's not as crazy as him resisting the weight of a neutron star or a score of planets.

Shared or not, it's still stronger than Thor

Ships are usually 80% air. Even a hollow mothership is still Jupiter level mass at the absolute low end calc.

Pushing requires strength, moving an object that big requires strength, more than what Odinson has. If we're doing average strength feats, Superman stomps. High end, Superman still stomps. Mageddon feat > any strength feat Thor has accomplished

People still pretending characters that might struggle with lifting a building or something in most comics but effortlessly move or lift planets/stars/solar systems/galaxies/universes/infinity in a few comics are somehow consistent enough to match, still stupidly hilarious.
