Dude John won't be able to do anything what don't you understand he won't have time to pu up the sigil plus it doesn't mean Superman will passmover it he could easily heat vision John from far. There is no way Jphn can beat Superman i'm sorry.

Aside from the fact the Spectre and other minor cosmics he has to deal with he has to go against Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel and others. I'm pretty sure Alan Scott was on the JL so that is a big problem. While he is fighitng them John can either set up that sigel or go to his house and go to another universe filled with kryptonite and grabs a chair.

If we're talking about the scan where he holds Batman by his cape, then it isn't canon. Flash can phase his brain out before Supes has a chance to react and Martian Manhunter can mindrape him.

Alan Scott is in JSA, not JLA.

Spectre is more associated with JSA, and the only person to ever be the host of Spectre in JLA is Hal Jordan which he didn't have now.

There are argument that Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel are inferior to Superman in term of raw power.

Batman can't beat every character who's been in the JLA. He's only got plans for the ones he knows well that actually have counters to their abilities.
For instance how does he beat Orion? He's got nothing outside of getting help which defeats the purpose of soloing.

Hal Jordan is Spectre for only brief period of time, most of the time, Spectre is in JSA.

And Ion isn't much more powerful than regular Kyle unless you mean HoG Ion, and Kyle is HoG Ion for only short moment.

Honestly John isn't even part of the JL nd Superman could take him any day of the week. Superman has bested Lanterns before Scott won't be much of a problem. Just because he get's kryptonite doesn't make it an automatic win. Superman could use his Super breath and make John fly into space.

No one from the extended roster of the JLA, could "solo" the extended roster of JLA.

To bring up two examples that has been brought up several times in the thread so far:

• Flash - It's funny that no one who has mentioned him as a possible contender, actually mentions which Flash they are talking about. But regardless of which particular Flash it is, there are several different Flashes that are part of the extended roster, Barry, Wally, Jay, Jesse, and Dark Flash. Not to mention other members who are simply above Flash's level.
• Batman - The only tangible 'evidence'(for the lack of a better word) that the Bat could even start on something like this, is the Tower of Babel storyline. And his plans, just for the core members, are so filled with PIS, that it's better proof that Batman could not, in fact, take down the JLA, rather than proof that he could.

Of course, if the "betraying" member has PIS on his/her side, then literally any of the members from the extended roster, could solo the JLA.

@dondave: Whatever he "can" do won't help. The op states the JL not at all realizing the oncoming attack. The op isn't detailed enough to make a valid decision just yet.

The second scan was when Despero was controlling members of the league and not using thier powers to the best of their ability and not in control of their own actions and reactions. Not to mention that blitz did nothing ---- Manhunter was absolutely fine at the end of it all.

For that matter J'onn could just one-shot Clark like his brother Malefic has done via telepathy, or mind-wipe him like J'onn has done before without a problem.
