Hulk moved giant surtur by a greater distance than Thor has ever moved anyone. Hulk has caused similar damage, probably greater than what Thor did against malekith.

If we're counting lightning then Thor wins.

Just going to leave this here since Mjolnir is allowed...

Thor stomps, even in their fight he had the clearly stronger punches.

@nwgzsjuwhm96y2: I don't see where it says it isn't allowed in the OP. Either way Thor wins, but with those electrical power amps - it is an absolute stomp in this department for Thor.

That makes it harder, Thor did send hulk circling the stadium and Hulk never did replicate that back towards Thor.

@nwgzsjuwhm96y2:You mean when he did this?

Surtur wasn't thrown, he was hit and fell down, that could even be from a loss of balance from being hit from a certain point and not expecting the power for all we know. And we have no real way to gauge the strength of Surtur other than this one scene anyway. And we definitely don't have reason to believe even a normal power hammer throw from Thor at the same angle wouldn't have done the same thing.

What we have from Thor is actual unamped hits that still smash people through buildings and hit walls pretty well - like the second shot from @breakofdawn . Plus having the winning power moves in their fight by the looks of things.

@theonewhopullsthestrings: it wasn't even a strike but pure 100% lightning.

@tetsukage: op says no lightning. See post 5

That explains my mistake - I pretty much answered the OP at first, didn't read any more post. Doesn't change my pick though.

@nwgzsjuwhm96y2: Surtur clearly wasn't expecting it. Hulk had to get about 200 metres of buildup just to accomplish that one feat. When he regained his balance and Hulk was fruitlessly pounding on his head, Surtur casually chucked him away.

Falling wouldn't have instantly accelerated him to ~30 m/s.

Its not about Surtur's strength anyway. And surtur is obviously very strong just because he is able to mive his massive body.

He clearly saw Hulk coming.

Hulk Can't fly so its irrelevant at worst means his 1 jump+ 1 punch is 7 GJ

I never said Hulk is even close to Surtur in strength. Its about Surturs mass not his strength.

Irrelevant, objects shoved in freefall accelerate really fast, and to accomplish that all you need to do is have a moment of lapsed balanced, not accurately resisting something, etc - where it is free movement for a second. I have had similar reactions on small plastic objects in my clumsiness a few times. It doesn't mean they are anything noteworthy.

Its not about Surtur's strength anyway. And surtur is obviously very strong just because he is able to mive his massive body.

Exactly, his massive body can increase the movement given gravity and a start of a moment without any resistance. There is nothing special here. Anymore than someone 'leveling 500 tonnes worth of dominoes'. 500 TONNER CONFIRMED STRIKER!

@theonewhopullsthestrings: He accelerated to 30 ms in around 0.2-3 a second. So 100m/s^2 acceleration. Gravitational acceleration is %9.8 of that. Not even close to being enough plus he accelerated sideways not downwards.

@nwgzsjuwhm96y2:

Not all gravitationally, the initial was his force being projected into it without resistance - which ended up triggering the bigger tripping of Surtur after that. That was my point. It was more like him causing a car to quickly accelerate if he hit it from the back - the wheels are just the no resistance aspect there. It literally doesn't mean anything. Surtur was definitely not resisting being moved, he was not bodying some huge amount of weight, more just giving it a nudge where it start itself.

This is a 'feat' that does nothing to further Thor's strength in any reasonable sense that anyone can quantify at all.
