So I've recently come to the liking of King Shark, thing is I've looked up some Battles involved with him and they don't seem to favor him much against his opponents. Yet his power set seems to imply he's quite a powerhouse....that and the battle threads were really old, so maybe views of King Shark have changed.

That said, who can King Shark beat? Assume best incarnation.

@juiceboks: Really? Isn't Shark able to fight with the likes of Superboy/Aquaman? Or least that's what I've read.

King Shark has potential but is often used as a jobber. Feat wise, I dont think he's taken anyone worth mentioning out...that come to mind

Not sure if its true but I heard King Shark once beat super boy. Maybe Holocaust could be a good fight for him?

Bump? Also as far as height goes, anyone know how big he is?

CW Flash. And a fodder police officer. ;-)

King Shark is very powerful. Super senses, strength (strong enough Wonder Woman struggled restraining him), regen and durability. He was a Superboy villain pre52 and became and Aquaman villain after that. New 52 pretty much had him with Suicide Squad for the most part, where Amanda Waller was constantly keeping him dehydrated and weak. Like KidChipotle said, he's often used as a jobber.

There are many images of King Shark ripping apart fodder opponents. I'd say anyone whom he could casually toss from a desert base to the ocean would be an easy win.

Wonder Girl (Cassie)?

@Ashrym he appeared in Superboy first but apparently had a history with Aquaman

@ashrym: Interesting, that strong? Don't suppose you have a scan of that?

All in all though, he sounds pretty awesome if he's written well. Any idea how big he is height wise?

Remember best incarnation. I've also read that he also has swordsmanship?

On a sidenote I think it would cool to see a Croc/Shark team up in the near future.

@wolfrazer: According to DC.wikia he's 7 feet. I don't know where they got that from though so I wouldn't base it on that

Anyways I'd suggest checking out Sword of Atlantis if your a Nanue fan as an Aquaman fan it was a bit disappointing but it had cool King Shark moments.

@wolfrazer: Here is Wonder Woman straining and an example of facing OMAC after raging. King Shark has a blood rage mode.

Sword of Atlantis is a good place to look. King Shark taught swordplay there.

Someone lower than WW maybe. He used to fight Superboy but I don't think he was comparable when he was first introduced. I think he had psionic tk powers and some weird 90s outfit too.

@nerevarine_11: I'm not sure how it went but I believe King Shark fought Superboy in the New52 as well.

Basically anyone Superboy (Conner Kent) level and below. He's a POWERHOUSE, but he's not quite at Thor/Hulk level, let alone Superman or Wonder Woman.

King Shark vs. Thing would be a fun matchup.

@rickythanos: As I've read he has fought Aquaman who is in the 100 ton range as is Superboy, so he is quite the powerhouse.

This is from Teen Titan 18 where Superboy stated he's not fully recovered from injury. After Solstice blasted King Shark, Superboy attacked King Shark from behind trying to strangle King Shark. The next panel is King Shark free of the strangle and tanking blows from Superboy again (exactly the same as the WW scene but King Shark didn't tank her kick nearly as well ;-) ). Then the squad was called to stand down so it was inconclusive.

King Shark was pretty solid pre52 but wasn't a match for Aquaman or Wonder Woman n52 (in the Exile story line) and does appear to still be a solid match for Superboy. He's definitely a powerhouse when he's not being a jobber. King Shark is a character with a lot of potential that could be developed.

Aquaman has fodderized King Shark Pre-Flashpoint as well.

I think so, but he's a pretty solid brick either way. I think he was better portrayed in the Sword of Atlantis run. You might want to keep in mind that 100+ tons refers to immeasurable strength at that point, and insane feats of strength occur regularly for most characters in that category. Aquaman, for example, can throw a Russian nuclear sub (typhoon class subs are 48000 tons plus) from the ocean floor through the pressure and resistance out of the ocean as easily as a pitcher throwing a baseball across the ball field.

@ashrym: Most characters have better feats Pre-Flashpoint since they had longer histories, more battles = more feats.

He's done well against Superboy and a younger Aquaman though when Aquaman had just become king. Probably other times as well against others not sure don't follow Nanue that closely might start.

Around Thing level with regeneration and greater mobility (even on land).

Maybe higher when he goes berserk (eg. when he fought OMAC)
