Is this the feat your talking about? I don't think it's a black hole. I can't remember them calling it one, and it certainly doesn't seem to have the same kind of gravity.
It's unquantifiable, much less a FTL feat - and even if it were, it's far better than any other feat he's got. Based on the speed rubble was being sucked in, his flights to space are way, way better travel feats.
The fact you called the first option a mini black hole automatically makes the feat not underrated
That mini black holes gravity at that point wasn't even 10+Gs. Its pull was overall pretty weak. A wanked feat vs a feat thats largely ignored. So 2nd.
Zod ship feat is meh
Black hole feat's an outlier
Do you think that because its too good or too bad? I would say its way too bad unless Superman being hit by the WE beam previously made him more vulverable to its pull.
science isn't there for the phantom-zone "blackhole" feat because lois falls despite its apparent gravitational pull on everything but her. really ruined the scene tbh.
the other feat is kind of the same but it has been used before on vine. the drop-ship nosells re-entry at massive speeds, and they weren't afraid of anything the humans could throw at them. so kal exploding it with one tap is pretty impressive... HOWEVER
like the first feat - unquantifiable. the best I could do would be to compare to it to similar materials used on our space shuttles and then speculate? but speculating /=/ calcs.
so both are useless from my perspective.
most underrated feat is WE bust.
The Black hole feat isn't bad. They explicitly mentioned it to be a singularlity/black hole multiple times. Zod did while he was being sentenced. Dr Hamilton and General Swanwick did too. Most feats in fiction aren't scientifically accurate in their entirety. If the seemingly weak gravitational pull of the black hole is used to nitpick and entirely dismiss the feat, then similar logic can be used to absolutely dismiss Thor's Star feat as well.
If real science is used to explain the black hole then smaller black holes are actually more dangerous than larger ones. In smaller ones, the tidal forces reach beyond the event horizon and spaghettification actually starts outside the event horizon. And tidal forces pulling on Superman's skin can be clearly seen while he is flying away from it. That is a much more accurate portrayal of black holes than say the black hole grenades of The Dark Elves. So I wouldn't dismiss it. It would be hypocritical to consider a more scientifically inaccurate MCU feat legit and dismiss a DCEU feat for the same reason
Regarding the striking feat on Zod's ship, that's one of his best striking feats if you look at how casually he did it. I doubt any other DCEU or MCU character could accomplish it that casually. This feat should be used more in debates and CaVs
@deltahuman: Big talk from the guy who nitpicks MCU feats the most for scientific inaccuracy.
Also, less scientifically inaccurate? Then why are the tidal forces only pulling Kryptonians? Why is Superman's skin glowing with "spectral colors?" Why is "phantasmal light" flashing out of the event horizon? Just give up, lol.
OT: Kryptonian ships got perforated by a plane that remained intact and a KoL tier explosion. Can't scale just purely off the good feats lol
...When did Clark outspeed a "mini black hole"?
He didn't, the novel confirms that he was clear of the event horizon meaning there's no reason this feat is as impressive as ppl say it is, especially considering the only non-headcanon reason he escaped was because it's pull on him was lost as it collapsed unto itself.
Inb4 Superman's bullrush = FTL escape velocity
The irony...
You use scientific reasons to discredit feats you don't like from mcu but now it is about dceu, intent matters over portrayal.
Give up? Lol, I'm not your dad to give up on you that easy.
You know people should live by example. You don't like me defending the DCEU feat because you think it's not accurate scientifically. You think it's big talk for me. Fine. Just accept the star feat to be hogwash first because I can point out twice the number of scientific inaccuracies there as well. If you wanna point out my double standards, you gotta be free from them first or else stop crying. I am free to do whatever I want
And spectral colours, phantasmal light, lmao what the hell is that. Nobody has actually seen a singularity. Nobody has witnessed spaghettification. The "Phantasmal Light" was a visual effect to indicate the tidal forces acting on Superman. His skin being stretched can actually be seen on screen. But obviously he was strong enough to resist spaghettifiction which your salty ass won't be able to digest. I don't really care. Also, Clark's casual backhand that broke a large chunk of Black Zero is the best casual striking feat of any MCU/DCEU high tier. There I said it again. Before the C17 crashed into it, the singularity had already formed. I don't care if you think it's a KoL tier explosion or whatever ( I don't even know if that's a legit word)
Yes, intent over portrayal for DCEU feats as long as scientifically inaccurate MCU feats are wanked. That's how it's gonna be. You don't like it, Cool. Change your ways first

Does novel directly said it is event horizon and actual black hole ( not like statement "like a black hole" ) ?
Superman's BY FAR most underrated feat is him withstanding the gravity beam of the world engine. We've seen that this machine is able reshape the entire planet. We are TOLD that the engine uses gravity and that it in fact influences the whole planet, terraforming it.
"It's some kind of gravity weapon, (...) somehow they are increasing earth's mass (...) modifying earth's atmosphere and topography"
To influence ANYHOW (much less reshape...) an object of a certain size, you need at least 0.1% or 1/1000 mass of the object. That's in a vacuum with no other conditions present.
In other words, for this to make any sense in our RL physics, that gravity beam has to be BARE MINIMUM 0.1% of the earth's mass, otherwise the earth would not even feel it at all.
This rounds up to 6,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000 kg. Cut off 3 zero's (0.1%), and Sups was able to withstand the weight of 6,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000 kg, or 6 quintillion tons. And he wasn't just tanking that kind of gravity, he STOOD UP in it, which means he can at the very least LEG PRESS IT and than overcame it with flight.
That is a comic book worthy feat. Based on this, DCEU Superman would be able to move around planets if he wanted to.

Yes for all intents and purposes, it's a black hole w/ event horizon specified but he doesn't get an FTL feat from it; he never gets close to the event horizon and the only reason he escapes is because its pull on him gets weaker.

"It's some kind of gravity weapon, (...) somehow they are increasing earth's mass (...) modifying earth's atmosphere and topography"
It was turning Earth's gravity and atmosphere into Krypton's via adding more mass to the Earth meaning the beam itself would need to pump mass waaaaay more than Earth's mass in order for that to happen. Based off of RL science, this feat should be around multi-planetary level.
...this puts Thor's ring feat to shame.
LOL, anyways good catch. Nice wank material.

Extreme lowball. It was increasing Earth's mass enough to multiply gravity by 100s. So World Engine at least weights 600.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000 (6x10^26 kg). It was falling at mach 25 and at this mass no way is it slowing down so the impact is at least 2.2x10^34J or about 100 times the energy needed to destroy Earth completely. He lifted the WE with a bullrush too. Due to conservation of momentum if we say WE moved up at 30 m/s (lowball) then Superman had to have a relativistic mass of 6x10^19 kg and a kinetic energy of 5.4x10^36J or enough to destroy some of the largest planet in the universe, in one hit, while weakened.
Stronger than a planet indeed.
Lmfao

Sorry but this is wank now. The fact it is increasing Earth's mass this has nothing in common at all. It is slowly doing it, u need more time. Intensity matters, also Superman took fration of it. The fact he destroy that Source machine so what ? This is just mechanism which regulates it. It is impressive but nothing else. Also we don't know how much mass were aiding those machines.
@nwname: It's rather obvious that the Earth wasn't destroyed due to plot-induced-stupidity, or else the movie would've ended right there and then.

Wouldn't the process have wiped humanity off the surface of the Earth? Surface wiping at bare minimum imo

Bump: Here is a fun fact about the WE beam:
When it came to exploding Krypton, Dan Lemmon and I had long discussions about how it might look different from other planetary explosions. Fed by lines in the script about what the Kryptonians were doing to their planet’s core, we decided that the planet should basically give birth to a failed star. In an effort to ignite their core to provide a new energy source, the Kryptonians compacted the matter at the center of their planet. We thought maybe they were using one of their terraforming machines — a World Engine as seen in the Indian Ocean at the end of the movie — and the result of this process was the collapse of all of the layers of their planet. Beams of energy cut through the crust, shooting towards space as the star at the center radiated outward. Cutting to space to see the planet-wide results, you can see the layers collapse around the bright areas of the planet until it explodes but settles immediately into a debris field held in place by the neutron star at the center. That star is the glow at the center of all of the rocks and dust. That is what Zod and his team see when they awake in the Black Zero after being shunted out of the Phantom Zone by the broken generator.

Apparently several of them wiped out Krypton and turned its core into a neutron star. Lmfao.
Edit: Overpowering the WE beam and destroying the machine itself that tanked a small mountain busting shockwave is underrated, tbh.

Oh yes... When DCEU saltlords are so desperated to hype up their characters they use instantly they use some producers statements or their inspirations or ideologies . Despite even producers were assuming and theorethising ( what is not confirmation ) nothing implies it. VFX or producer talks are no canon.
@mama7: Cool beans. Now go step on a lego or something.
Edit:
@rajjarsalt GOAT quote tbh
Because this statement comes only from movie producers, visualisers, concet arts creators. This is non canon and even if we wanna go that retard then they were speculating what was causing this slow process of neutron star creation
