This is from Hollywood magazine promoting JL back in 2017 btw. It’s not even an official handbook and this info was written by a random journalist who has no authority over DCEU. No official source actually stated what was shown in the article. Even if we did just say ‘yeah he did fight Krypton DD who destroyed a Moon’ there’s blunders in that too. For a variety of reasons:

1. Doomsday didn’t destroy all of Krypton’s Moon, in fact not even half of it.

Seems like 3/4 of the Moon is still intact.

2. We have no idea the density composition of this moon, nor the size or the gravitational field strength. Any of these would drastically change anything that could be impressive or unimpressive in terms of destroying a random moon.

3. We have no idea how long it took for DD to cause this much damage. It could’ve been one hit, or it could’ve been a few million. No one knows for sure, we can’t presume anything.

4. Assuming the article is true, Steppenwolf ’surviving’ DD is vague as we have no idea how it would’ve played out. The most likely outcome would’ve been him fleeing from the DD or evading its attacks entirely. Nothing implies he put up a good fight or anything, just that he survives. None of that matters though, since it was literal fan-fic written by a magazine columnist.
