Unless Snake’s Gear is limited, he wins. It only takes him a matter of moments to have weapons, armor, and even tanks dropped out of the sky. I doubt he’d call for a tank against just one person, but it’s not impossible either. He could even call in an air strike if he really wanted to. It takes a little longer then his gear, but D-Dog or Quiet can be there to assist him in a a relatively short amount of time too. Snake has the resources of an advanced army at his fingertips and at a moment’s notice. There are few street levelers that can match him in one on one in an open environment like this one, where he can have anything he needs to win brought to him.
If the i-droid is restricted, then I’d say it’s debatable.
@tparks: I mean standard loadouts. He can't get the support of Motherbase.
@tparks: or he calls upon lightning or sends a remote rocket fist at him.
@red_ruby_petal: @lubub55: It’s hard to say then. Snake is easier to picture winning, since we can see his feats. Adrian was singled out by the G-Man to have his training excelled, so he definitely saw something special about Adrian. I don’t think he’d gamble on just anyone to kill the Gene Worm.
Adrian pretty much solos an alien army, so there is reason to believe he’s a serious threat to Snake.
But Snake would likely just stealth him.
I don’t know. I know this is your thread, but what do you think?
RRP: I think his HEV armor would probably be enough to take a rocket punch, although I’m not sure on that.

I don't have a clear winner in mind at the moment, but I will say that Adrian being stealthed isn't likely.
Here and in other parts of the game he solos Black Ops units. These are programmed to use stealth and will actually sneak around the player, hide in shadows and ambush. After engaging they can get back to stealth mode at FTE speeds as well. I think Adrian dealing with whole squads of these at once, sometimes in dark warehouses with lots of shadows and cover show that he won't be beaten by Venom's stealth.
At the moment I'm thinking Adrian because of gear, but I'd definitely say that Venom is faster. My mind isn't completely made up though.

It definitely should. It allowed him to tank a shotgun shell at close range and get up after a helicopter crash.
@lubub55: Nice response. What gear did he have? It’s been a while. Did he have some of the Dimension X bio-weapons or was that just multiplayer. Or maybe I’m thinking Calhoun?

Scroll down to the equipment section. He has some great and powerful gear. Barney only has the basics.
We need more Half-Life threads.
On topic: Venom wins due to the environment and all of his gear.
