Well, Vash has been avoiding the criminals that makes most men cry for there mommies. I'd go for Vash. Because of his baddassness and the first episode rocked.
Its kinda hard to judge since one is an anime and the other is a video game, but they're both gun aces so I thought it would be interesting. Vash can dodge bullets by looking at where they're aiming and getting out of the way, he counts bullets, has a fake arm that transforms into yet another gun. I'm not sure of Snake (I guess it kinda depends on how you play him) but from the cutscenes he is skilled as well, he doesn't just know how to aim a gun, he knows techniques much like Vash on how to handle guns and has taken on metal gears before.
