Every single US president goes at it in a colosseum. Start 200 ft from the center.

Rules:

  • Each are armed with a french sabre, bat and a G19 with a single clip

  • All have the knowledge they currently do, or did while alive.

  • Each are bloodlusted.

  • All are of the age of when they were inaugurated.

Please be respectful below, this is meant to be a fun, less serious thread.

Probably Theodore Roosevelt. Not only was he the youngest President ever, but he was also a war hero. He was also a trained boxer, and knew Jiu Jitsu. He was also one of the toughest Presidents considering the fact that he literally shrugged off a bullet to the chest and continued to give a 90 minute speech to the audience while also showing off his bloody shirt. Another good shot would be Lincoln. He was known for being a very skilled wrestler when he was younger. He was also the tallest and possibly the physically strongest President with multiple accounts detailing some impre strength feats he did when he was younger.

Battles with real individuals are against the rules, but I'd probably go with George Washington.

Where's this rule?

I'd bet Lincoln. He's definitely one of the strongest and has experience in combat, albeit not with weapons provided here. He also has a HUGE reach advantage over everyone else.

The wild card would be the G19. I'm not sure if this applies, but if any modern presidents have experience in shooting Glocks (or small firearms in general), then they'd have a huge advantage

Both of them were relatively old when they entered office. I’d say Theodore Roosevelt could probably contend with either of them.

Andrew Jackson or Theodore Roosevelt are the most solid choices and, hilariously enough, actually have feats.

Teddy through sheer manliness.

Death snuck up on Ted in his sleep because he knew that that there was no winning against TDR when he was awake.

That one (Roosevelt). Lincoln had a precarious health.

@slimmcl: Jiu-Jitsu is merely Judo. Teddy must have learned something like a hip throw, probably brought by Asian immigrants.

Judo is more about Leverage while Jujitsu is more about Joint Locks. They do have similarities though like Muy Thai and Kick Boxing have similarities.

Yeah, well judo is indeed a form of jiu-jitsu, which is older. Judo can be described as sportive competition jiu-jitsu. But you've got to be quite a specialist to spot the differences. I think you are allowed to pull hair and bite in Jiu-Jitsu.

The answer is Roosevelt, and it isnt close.

@slimmcl: Mitsuyo Maeda (or one of those 4...yamashita maybe. Theytraveled together) who taught jiujitsu to the gracies, demonstrated for Roosevelt against American wrestlers. Was...uuh, would of been somewhere between 1910-1920.

Maeda was a student in Kosen Judo under Jigoro Kano himself, at the Kodokan. H3 then traveled the world with 3 of his homies fighting people of different styles around the world. Fought french kickboxers, American jacket wrestlers, helped birth Sambo and BJJ, etc. However, at the time he demonstrated for Roosevelt, he was already identifying his style as the more classical "jujitsu", rather than Judo. He started doing that after he began fusing the other styles...so yeah, somewhere in the 10 year period after leaving the Kodokan, but before meeting Gastao Gracie in Brazil.

@nucleon: @slimmcl: No. Judo at the time it was created is derived from the classical jiujitsu styles. The difference is that Jigoro Kano removed the techniques that couldnt be safely trained, which allowed for more Randori.

In the modern iterations, the difference is that Judo has become much, much more sportive, and has become exceedingly more focused on standing grappling. Jiujitsu on ne waza, or the ground portion. Both are position driven martial arts that uses leverage based techniques.

There are distinct differences now days...but you would of been very hard pressed at during the early 1900s, to tell the difference between Jigoro Kanos Judo, and Mitsuyo Maedas jiujitsu.

As for judo being "sportive" jiujitsu...that isnt really true. It is more sportive in practice...but the extra practice that allows means that judokas of the day FFFAAAAARRRR exceeded the jujitsu styles in actual fighting abilities.

teddy solos. Cowboy and martial artists. His only real competition would be Andrew Jackson but Jackson was more of an unorthodox fighter iirc so no real training.

Definitely Teddy Roosevelt. He was very skilled in boxing, wrestling, judo, and jujitsu. That and he had a very athletic and outdoorsman lifestyle in general, his stamina would be above most other presidents.
